Publisher's Summary

I'll be there. Through thick and thin. Ride or die. You can count on me.

The promises people make. The vows we take. Assumptions of the heart. Emotion tells us how we feel, but life...life has a way of plunging us in boiling water, burning away our illusions, testing our faith, trying our convictions. Love floating is a butterfly, but love tested is an anchor.

For Grip and Bristol, love started at the top of the world on a Ferris wheel under the stars, but when that love is tested, will they fly or fall?

Awe-Inspiring and Unforgettable story

This Narrative is PERFECT! This is one of the best stories I've ever experienced. It's beyond beautiful. The characters are soo unbelievably amazing. This series  has a power couple! I cannot think of another book that has that (not like Bristol and Grip). In my review of GRIP I said I couldn't possibly love Grip(Marlon) more.. I was proven wrong. My heart grew to make room for MORE love for Grip and Bristol. I love them both #relationshipgoals This story was Real as real can be. With life challenges, decisions and choices. With a LOVE that is sublime, profound, unyielding and boundless. So many different topics that our society must deal with and unfortunately at times go undealt with left behind as if ignored they can go away. The author has done an amazing job presenting these topics and not once did I feel I was being told to feel a certain way. Both pov's regarding the issues were presented. It was not one sided. Many many words that reached my heart and will stay forever. I'm trying to explain how much this story has touched me and left me in awe but I feel I'm failing at that. Everyone NEEDS to experience this series. There are many characters I loved but I instantly loved Mrs. O'Malley! Mrs. James #mothergoals More STARS needed for this story!! I love this story (and this series) and I hope I translated that ❤ There were heavy feelings moments but there were also Fun Happy Laugh-out-Loud moments ~ Ignorance is a naturally occurring state. It’s not what you feel guilty about, it’s what you do something about. We are born not knowing, and our experiences feed us information. You limit your knowledge and understanding of not only your place in this world, but the place and plight of others by doing what you’ve always done and knowing only what you’ve always known. Position yourself socially and intellectually to know more, to understand beyond the scope of your experiences. That is how we evolve as individuals and as a society.” By Kennedy Ryan ☆ Food For Thought

Love, love, love!!

I've finished my journey with Grip and Bristol. I've never before felt so invested in two fictional people than I was with these two, through Flow and Grip, and now Still. I feel blessed to have "met" Grip and Bristol. Life was not easy for either of them, and yet their capacity to love was endless. Love for each other, a brother, a cousin, a mother, and more. They are so real; so perfectly human and fragile and damaged and good. Grip and Bristol became real to me and I felt as though they were my friends. But they are far better than me. They want to change the world, and not from the sidelines. Their energy and drive is boundless. I don't want to retell their story. I want you to discover these two beautiful souls for yourself. Step into their lives and feel everything they do. Live life for a while with them. Feel what the author intended, because theirs is no ordinary love story. It's a life story. It's a love that is beautiful, hard earned and truly tested. I felt as though these two characters touched me and I hope it is the same for you. Grip and Bristol stayed with me after reading Grip. After reading Still, I feel lost and wrecked and yet healed. Some books are unforgettable and Still is one of those books for me. There are not enough stars to give this book its due. It is my favorite of 2017. ❤️📚❤️ Thank you Kennedy Ryan for sharing these wonderful people with us, for opening our minds to the injustices that occur everyday and to those who want to make a difference, to the joys, sadness, heartache, hope and all-consuming love that can be found in a relationship, and for sharing so much of yourself in each book of the Grip series. This was an audio re-read of Still. As soon as I heard the audio was out I had to have it. The narrators were perfect and I got to go back and relive the good times and bad with Grip and Bristol. Wonderful story and storytelling by the narrators. Love love love!

this is the best audible book/series I've heard

Grip the best series that I have ever read and listened to. Kennedy Ryan has taken one of the most difficult and nuanced social issues and somehow used it as a backdrop for a romance novel. I tend to favor authors like LJ shen, Tijan and Kate Stewart because they write more emotionally involved books that make you think and feel deeply about the characters. however despite loving those three authors, this book and the other two books in the series are without a doubt my new favorites. I love how the characters were portrayed and the fact that their challenges had nothing to do with their profound and deep love for each other. these are characters that you generally want to see make it. Even in their lowest moments it was impossible not to love both Grip and Bristol. the narrators were also amazing. I love books narrated by Zachary Weber and Jacob morgan. however, this narrator is also one of my new favorites. this is also the first time I've listened to a book and actually really liked the female narrators portrayal of the male character. this series makes me want to redo previous ratings of other books because it elevates my standards. Absolutely loved it.

A Fantastic Audio Conclusion To A Wonderful Series!

I can't say how happy I was to here Kennedy was finally completing the GRIP series in audio by doing STILL. The narrators for this series were wonderful and brought all the complex emotions of these characters and their story to life.

Weighty, substantial work

In the final installment of Ryan’s “Grip” series, she flexes her writing muscles for the reader’s benefit. The love story of Grip and Bristol, the main characters, has spanned a significant period of time, much of their relationship unfolding in the first two installments. So much so, it was hard to imagine how their story would twist and turn in “Still” - but what a ride it was. Ryan has never been afraid to tackle heavy issues, and the interracial and classist dynamics between Grip and Bristol gave her plenty of angles to work with - but, in “Still,” Ryan goes even deeper, pulling out all the emotional stops that a couple can endure. Warning and potential spoiler for other readers: this book deals with unimaginable loss of life. If you are triggered by this, you need to be fully prepared before diving in or skip. The series is narrated by one of my favorites, Jakobi Diem (Grip) and I’m a first-time listener to Maxine Mitchell (Bristol). I almost didn’t start these books, being a lover of the audio format, and not reading great reviews about Maxine’s tone and cadence. I must admit, it took a little getting used to, because her voice seemed so formal in the beginning. However, after Bristol’s story unfolded, I realized that it may have been by design - her character goes from the confines of the Upper East Side to diving into the world of racial politics and heartbreaking loss. Mitchell’s narration shines in the emotional moments of the book, particularly when she’s speaking in Bristol’s voice. Jakobi lent all the passion and pain you would expect from a man like Grip - a successful, talented, unconventional black man trying to navigate life and love with a woman that seems to be his polar opposite. There is poetic, lyrical work woven throughout the book, and it is fantastic. 5 stars for the entire series.

Brilliant!!

This series with Grip and Bristol was so gripping! It got better with each book, never waning. Not every author can accomplish that. Wgile reading this, you are going to need a big towel or several boxes of kleenex. Sometimes you will even find that in the middle of some heart wrenching crying you will burst out laughing. Also I can't even express how seriously magnificent the 2 narrators were in their delivery...brilliant!!! This is some solid writing Kennedy Ryan. Your characters were so real to me that I wanted to looks them up on google. No joke! All the situations and issues portrayed.in this series was so realistically delivered. I felt like I was personally suffering or enjoying them. Nice job Kennedy Ryan. Really nice job narrators, you were the perfect choice.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!

Sometimes you come across a story that is so incredibly special that it just sticks with you night and day for weeks, months, even years. I knew from the first book in the series, “Flow”, that this story was going to be one of those. A friend of mine told me this was her favorite series of all time. I completely understand why. It was incredibly well written and the issues were so poignant and important. Yet it was all written in a way that just flowed seamlessly within the story. So much heartache and drama and success and joy and love and hate and prejudice and acceptance. It literally hit on every single emotion. I laughed and cried and was outraged and swooned. This series was everything!! The audiobooks were in Audible Escape, but this was such a gripping series that I purchased the books and the audiobooks too. It will be a re-read and re-listen for years to come! Maxine had me in tears more times than I can count. Her narration was just phenomenal - especially in “Grip” and “Still”. This series was my first experience with Jakobi, but I am definitely a fan now. I really can’t adequately express how wonderful these books and the whole story is. But if I could give it 20 stars I would.
