Når Lulu staver sit navn bagfra, bliver det til Ulul. Når hun læser ordet føn den forkerte vej, står der pludselig nøf. Det er den slags, man ved, når man har en levende fantasi og en mor, der er damefrisør. Lulu har begge dele.
Desværre er Lulus mor fuldstændig umulig at forstyrre, når hun klipper pandehår, og hendes far har travlt med at gå til møder med nogen, der hedder kommunen. Hendes lillebror, Morgan, kan ikke andet end at savle og bøvse. Der er således ikke meget sjov ved at være Lulu. I hvert fald ikke før den søndag, hvor hun møder Stenfjæs, og alt forandrer sig. Pludselig står der en to en halv meter høj mand midt i værelset - en mand med skjold og lysende øjne, der mistænkeligt minder om et af de FlexoMasters-kort, hendes bedste ven Otto altid vrøvler om.
"Stenfjæs" er en fuldtonet hyldest til fantasien og det rene børneliv, hvor alt er muligt, og der ikke er noget ”fordi”, men kun et "tænk nu hvis". Man bliver nemlig aldrig for stor til at være lille.
