Publisher's summary

Twenty-six years ago, Warlord Zonn, one of the most feared warlords on the planet Ceres, brought an alien slave girl home with him when he came back from war. He fell in love and joined with her.

Twenty-five years ago, the fierce Cerean warlord from the neighboring province, Warlord Lufar, began having dreams about a human female who was in trouble. He streaked across space in his warship, rescued her, brought her back home with him to Ceres, and promptly joined with her.

Soon afterward, the human mate of the Warlord Zonn, whose name was Mia, met the human mate of the Warlord Lufar, whose name was Isabelle, and, being the only two human females on the planet, they became best friends.

Over the next six years, Warlord Zonn sired five males and two females. During the same time period, Warlord Lufar sired two males and four females. Because the two females were such good friends, Zonn, Mia, and their younglings were regular visitors to Lufar’s keep, and likewise, Lufar, Isabelle, and their younglings visited Zonn’s keep often.

All their younglings were raised together and spent many happy hours playing together. Both the warlords had respect for one another and had much in common. They were both warlords and rulers of their provinces, very involved in the running of the government on Ceres, and they both aided their King whenever he requested their assistance. The warlords’ respect for one another eventually turned into a deep and abiding friendship.

The strong friendship between the two warlords and their mates might have gone on forever, but for one thing - the fact that younglings grow up. Young males, who previously thought of young females as playmates and friends, might notice when those same females stopped looking like younglings, and started looking like gorgeous, sexy females. Likewise, young females might begin to notice when their childhood playmates start turning into strong, virile, muscle-bound, sexy Cerean males. And that is when all the trouble began.

Stealing from a Warlord is about two families with 13 younglings between them and all the happiness, laughter, tears, and growing pains that come along with younglings. Sometimes, it’s not only the younglings that have to do the growing.

A great end

What a beautiful end to the story. I had great time, laughing a lot, Father's will always be the same.
The author did well. The story is well written and full of humour. The narrator keeps up his good work and has very pleasant voice.
Sometimes authors fall into repeating stories with different names and places in series. This book is so different from the two before. Now the characters from the first two books are getting older and having to deal with children all grown up and falling in love. Very funny at times and you can relate to them.

So funny

This story reminds me of the trials and tribulations of raising children; in the case of the warlords and their wives; I cannot begin to imagine the chaos caused by having 6 or 7 children and then to have them intermingled. This story was funny. The narrator did a great job as usual.

That's a whole lotta love!

I really enjoyed getting to watch the younglings grow up and the relationships that developed between the two families! I just hope Zonn, Mia, Lufar, and Isabel's grandkids can find love OUTSIDE of the two families, or that's going to become a concerningly inbred family tree. ;) #AudiobookObsession #AuralFixation

This book was fun right from the start.

The characters were well developed and the ending was a nice surprise.

Loved this sweet tale of families joining!

Absolutely adored this sweet tale of two families that grew up together! 13 children between the two families of Warlords Zonn and Lufar, the younglings have been raised together. As they grow, relationships start to blossom and develop, time goes on and the younglings grow even closer. Right under their Sire's noes, each youngling finds a mate (or 2), and falls deeply in love. There were so many moments of love and devotion, sorrow and heartbreak. When Lufar breaks down in tears with Isabelle, I cried right along with him. J.T. knocks it out of the park with his narration, it had to be so difficult narrating so many different characters! I love how he matched up the younglings and made them sound slightly like their fathers. Bridget did such a wonderful job of giving us peaks into each relationship and even moments of Zonn and Mia and Lufar and Isabelle. By the end, I was smiling so wide, my face hurt and I was clapping. So excited for more from this author and narrator combo!

best ending of a series ever!!!

the blend of the two others stories into this final part of the series was masterfully done. Being able to bring all the characters together and still make you feel for each them in the way you did for the first two main character is a sign of a great story teller. This has a wonderful journey and I can not wait to hear more for this author.
