Publisher's summary

Writer's block, nibbled nails, plagiarism, oh my! And did I mention romance?

Life for Adda Sinclaire, New York Times best-selling author and historical romance writer extraordinaire, reads more like a country song than a breathless, bodice-bursting affair. For starters, she has no romance in her own life.

That might have something to do with the fact that her husband - correction, ex-husband - ran off with Stick Woman, whom everyone knew would never be more than a mid-list author anyway. To add insult to injury (and another verse to the country song), her ex not only took their dog but gave it to Stick Woman. If that isn't enough, Adda has come down with a horrible case of writer's block, finds herself gifted with a Bible that is determined to speak to her, and is the unwitting target of a romance cover model's misdirected advances.

Just when she catches her breath-and quite possibly the eye of a certain fabulously good-looking man (ahem...her new editor) - her arch-nemesis gives the pot one final stir.

Love this author/ narrator combo

I enjoy this author/narrator so much, thought it was about time I write a review. To all my fellow navigators of romanic fiction. If you enjoy traveling to another time and place in style and avoiding the gutter, then Tamara's books are for you. Clean and fun. I have not been disappointed. Sit back and enjoy the ride.

Stealing Adda steals your heart and keeps you coming back for more!

I’ve listened to this book probably a dozen times and I never tire of it! It’s my go to when I need something brilliant and funny! Leigh can tell a story and Agliotta brings it to life with her perfect narration!

A great book to buy twice!

There's no way around it, I really love this book. The humor, the struggle, the romance, the drama, the insecurities, the diolog (both inner and outer), the life situations, and the character's growth and failures, take the listener on lightning fast ride that is difficult to pause and step off of at any point in this book. After reading Stealing Adda, I recall sitting back and wondering just how much of it was baised on actual life experiences by the author? Something about the story and main character struck me as very real. That said, I'd better fess up. I actually owned a hardcopy of this book before I bought it on Adible. What can i say though, I love Stealing Adda. I adore Tamara Leigh. And I HAD to know how this book would sound with Mary Sarah Agliotta reading it in her wonderfully accented tones. Oh, if only I could rate more then five stars.

My new favorite by Tamara Leigh

This is my second contemporary read from Tamara Alexandra. I read nearly all her medieval fiction, for the most part I really like them.

I was reading this fiction along with the book captivating by Stasi Eldridge a non fiction, simultaneously.
Wow it was quite powerful together as I dealt with hurts in my own life (thanks Stasi) and ran to my fiction love story only to find Tamara's character Adda hitting a crushing point of abandonment in her life (thanks Tamara). Then I cried, and cried, and then cried some more. God was out to get me no matter which book I read, (thanks Jesus).

I must also say that ms agliotta is also the most gifted narrator I have heard and adds so much life to ms Leigh's characters. It's much funnier when she does the narration as oppose to the voice in my head.

Best writer ever!

Her stories are poetry. You cannot help but sink into the heart ache and triumph of her characters. Laugh, cry and love without the graphic depictions. Tamarac tales will enrich your life. Don't miss any of her books you'll want audible and print copies to read over and over again.

Sarcastic sassy Heroine

I loved this book as an ebook and I've just finished listening to the narrated version. I couldn't stop listening! The narration was excellent and was just how I heard the characters in my head. Well except for the male characters, they were a little strange hearing a woman's voice deepening to portray it, but I soon got used to it.

I really enjoy Tamara Leigh's historical novels, and I also enjoyed this contemporary novel

An Interesting and Funny Journey

I really enjoyed this romp through a romance writer's life. It is well writing and easily pulls in some Christian themes without getting "preachy". Not sure what one reviewer is referring to. The epilogue has an interview where the fictional interviewer asks the audience (the reader) some questions. This is a marvelous example of "inspirational" fiction. I encourage you to check it out.

Touching

I will admit, when I first started listening to this book I thought perhaps this is a book that is better if it is read on paper. But I was wrong. This book is charming. Adda is sassy, articulate, and whitty. I truly enjoyed getting to know her and watching her faith develop.

spectacular

Tamara Leigh took me for journey I really enjoyed. Being an author is something she understands but not something I know. her conflicts and conflict resolution felt good as well as her character development. I did not feel I needed to fix anything.

The World Of Romance Novelists

I have never enjoyed a storyline more. I was so engaged, that I listened to the book in its entirety in one day. It was intriguing, romantic, suspenseful, and humorous all rolled into one. It also gave you a bird's eye view of how we view people and stigmatize them. It was also a reminder of how highly we think of ourselves, but we're really not "all that" and a bag of chips. I salute Ms. Leigh for presenting a modern story, that enthralled me, even though I'm more of a fan of her medieval writings. Mary Sarah is a terrific narrator and is a whiz at doing all of the voices accurately throughout the book. I own all of Ms. Leigh 's other audiobooks, and I'm not sure why it took me so long to take a chance on this one. I'm glad that I finally did. Thanks Audible.

Interesting

Quite catchy! Adda is very relatable and true, I really enjoyed her journey. Her verse from Psalm 31 I took to heart too in times of need and it brought a smile on my face.
I loved the narrator's performance, I miss her in Tamara's new series. She is fantastic!
