As Leia must deal with a new threat to the fragile alliance that binds the New Republic, Lando becomes a prisoner aboard a runaway spacecraft of unknown origin. The ship is following an unstoppable path to its homeworld, destroyed by Imperial forces. Luke continues his quest to learn more about his mother among the Fallanassi, where his every belief about the use of the Force is about to be challenged. And while Leia ponders a diplomatic solution to the aggression of the fierce Yevetha race, Han pilots a spy ship into the heart of Yevethan space and finds himself a hostage on one of the vast fleet of warships under the command of a ruthless leader.© and (P)1996 Lucasfilm Ltd. and TM. There’s a universality to the Star Wars franchise, a world so sprawling that no matter who you are, you’re bound to find something—an adventure, a moment, a character—that resonates with you. And if you were to ask any fan, they’d likely be able to recount a memory directly tied to the series. On a 2021 journey from the East Coast to the Outer Rim, one Audible editor and Star Wars superfan saw all of her wildest, most interstellar dreams become reality.

I have read these books before and listening to the abridged versions is just off putting and if you’re following along with the book you lose so much of the extra little details.

Abridged versions suck

Yet another disappointing read by Heald. The only reason I listen to his reads is out of love for the books, not him!!!

Anthony Heald must go!!

The whole sideplot of Luke searching for his mother is beyond dull and annoying. The plot with Lando is so far ok(ish). The main plot is fairly well written and entertaining.

Main plot is good. Side plots are less than par.
