Publisher's summary

The Forge is coming back online, weapons hot and searching known space for signs of the Golden.

When Dash and Leira repair a powerful scanner, it finds something unusual in a distant system - the remains of an ancient battlefield. Custodian tells of a fight lost long ago, leaving drifting debris around the faraway star.

But the battlefield isn't forgotten. A human colony has taken hold nearby, and on their world, a single, massive ship has crashed.

And it is sending out a signal.

In a race against the enemy, Dash and his team will try to salvage the secrets of a Golden ship, warn the colony of the oncoming war, and brace for impact as more enemies streak across the stars to hunt down the one person who can stop them.

The Messenger.

A Great Story Continues

Book 3 in The Messenger series! The stories get better each step of the way - and this third book is no exception! Dash and the gang head to a distant outpost to gather Dark Metal, which - surprise! - is actually a crashed Golden ship that is composed of the Dark Metal! What looks like a possible straight forward salvage operation soon becomes yet another tedious, potentially lethal, escapade! Not only do they have issues getting permission to go to the crash site, they encounter both expected and unexpected issues along the way. But, as usual, they do find their way out of the mess and learn quite a few things in the process - which is a win-win for everyone involved! They also pick up an ally in the form of the outpost, specifically with two of its citizens - one former military and the other a biologist. And they both prove to be useful and helpful!!

I really like the character development, the interaction of the characters, the story line, the plot, the narration - there really isn't much to not like. Well, sometimes in just sitting there listening to the book, I do think "why don't they do this???" And sometimes they do get to it, sometimes they take a different path, and much of the time the delay is maddening!!!! LOL But it's not my story to tell and I do truly enjoy the one being told!!

Get the books, start the series, you won't regret it!!

I can't get enough of this story. The narrator continues to do a wonderful job bringing it to life, and the writing is just really fun. Loving the characters and plot. Keep them coming, please!

Disappointed

I really liked the first two books, but this one fell short, in my opinion!

Sadly it seemed to drag!

Ending fell short

This is a continuation of the story, which if you have gotten this far has been great. continues in the same fashion with different twists and turns. However I do wish there was another chapter that summarizes the truncation of an ending scene. over all still great.

Awesomeness.

The experience is like being in a movie theatre - watching an Action Packed Hollywood Blockbuster Thriller Materialize Before Your Very Eyes.
