Publisher's summary

She’s not going to Daytona Beach alone....

Riley

Spring break is supposed to be fun. I should be letting my hair down and soaking up the sun, but I’m nervous and jumpy. I don’t know why, but I feel like someone is watching me….

Parker

She doesn’t remember me. I know she doesn’t. But she’s all I’ve thought about for two years. I went to prison for her, but now I’m out and find out my girl is going to Daytona Beach for spring break.

I can’t let her go alone, unprotected, so I follow her.

Steamy, Stalker-y Story!!

Another fun stalker-trope story from Emma Bray! One thing that is different about this one in comparison to her other story that I listened to recently is that this stalker story has the element of protection because someone had previously tried to hurt the FMC, but the MMC does not let that happen! And he went to prison and the poor girl had no protection. It's still a fun story, with plenty of chemistry and steam that Bray is known for.
It's a pretty quick listen; I listened to it at 1.1x speed. I enjoyed the narrator! She did a good job with both the male and female voices.

When bad is good and good is bad!

In what universe does an ex-con, overly-possessive psycho stalker turn out to be the Hero? Emma Bray does it and does it well. I'm really enjoying her "stalker" stories and Spring Break is definitely where it's at. Parker has been watching Riley for years, ever since she smiled at him at the store where she worked. He felt the connection as a young boy and decided that it was up to him to protect her. The reason he went to jail in the first place was because he beat someone up who was planning to abuse Riley, but now he's out and she's in Florida, for spring break. When a partier gives her a drink and walks her to the beach, she shows the signs of being drugged and, once more, Parker saves her. With one misunderstanding, their whole world might come crashing down, but of course that can't happen when there's a beautiful HEA!
Erika Annette does a wonderful job with the narration. Her clear, dynamic voice brings each character to life with good intonation, inflection and pace.

Great book

This was a really good book. Erika Annette did a wonderful job with this book and has become one of my favorite narrators. All it took was one smile of Riley and Parker knew that he found his woman. There is an age gap and Parker is a stalker but only stalks to protect Riley. These two have some things to work out once Riley realizes the truth, but these two get a really good HEA.

Sweet Stalker Romance

This is a sweet and short stalker romance. Riley is going on spring break with a bunch of her girlfriends. Parker just got out of prison and is going to follow Riley for her safety. Parker has been Riley's secret protector for many years. Until he went to prison for protecting her. On this trip Riley will need Parker to step in and save her once again. Even though Riley is a good girl, her friends are getting her in trouble. There is a happy ending for Parker and Riley this time around. Parker comes out of the shadows.

It's better to tell the truth in the beginning.

I really liked this short stalker story. It was entertaining and enjoyable with a couple of exceptions. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. Riley's "friends" were pretty cruddy through most of the story. They did redeem themselves and even stood up for Riley so that by the end of the story they were good friends. Parker had fallen for Riley as soon as he ran into her but didn't get to actually meet her before he went to prison for her. Parker was out now and was determined to keep looking out for Riley. Riley had decided to go with her friends to spend spring break at the beach. After an incident, while she was out with her friends, Riley and Parker finally met face to face. There was some drama and angst but it resolved well. I loved their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book.

The audiobook was enjoyable as well. The narrator did a good job of trying to differentiate the characters voices and bring the story to life. I recommend listening to the audiobook.

Parker and Riley

Riley (h20) feels like someone is watching her, even when she goes with friend to Daytona Beach for Spring Break. Parker (H30) is obsessed with Emma, even going to prison rather than let her be attacked. He comes to her rescue again, this time with her knowledge, and things heat up between the two as they get to know one another. Hot and steamy stalker quickie with a little bit of angst.

Protective Stalker

She smiled and was kind. He protected her for years. Eventually did a small stint in prison for something he did to protect her. Got out. Followed her to spring break. Chaos ensued. Ta-Da.

A Quick Enjoyable Listen

Parker's been stalking and yet protecting Riley since they bumped into each other one day when she was on her way to work. He even went to jail for two years for protecting her from a would-be assault she knew nothing about.

But now Parker is free and back to staling Riley so when she finds herself in a dangerous situation, Parker steps in to save her yet again. It seems that the attraction is mutual and feelings for each other soon developed.

They seem to be great for each other, he even understood her fear of him until once he explained why had been violent, that it was because he refused to let any man harm or speak ill of her. You have to love a man who respects his woman! That said, his violence was never turned on her

I would have liked the love scenes to have had a little more heat but apart from that, I enjoyed this quick enjoyable listen. The narration by Erika Annette is well done.
