St. Bridget of Sweden (1303 - 1373) was a mystic and saint, and founder of the Bridgettines nuns and monks after the death of her husband Ulf. She is famous for her saintly life, the many miracles she worked, and her influence on various popes and European leaders. She is also well-known for the revelations she received, which are composed in eight books. St. Bridget is one of the six patron saints of Europe. This biography details her life, drawing from the many accounts that have been written about her. It also gives a historical background to help make sense of the events this remarkable saint was involved in.

Excellent Biography

I really enjoyed this biography on St. Bridget of Sweden and her daughter St. Catherine. St. Bridget was a strong soul.

Amazing Saint

What a life this saint had. Mystic, visions, bi-location, walked on water, healings…the whole gamut!

The narration was acceptable. I would probably would have struggled to read it otherwise. Thanks to been on audible I was able to listen to the he whole
Story almost in one sitting.

Reassuring

Listening to this wonderful story of a remarkable woman is like spending a few hours meditating. The narrator's voice is confident and very soothing as she unfolds the story of the life of an incredible woman! More of us should read, listen and learn about the Saints. We need more good and uplifting TRUE stories in this modern world to heal our souls. I found this listen to be a wonderful escape on a Sunday afternoon.

Powerful and inspiring, well read and produced.

An amazing story about an amazing woman whom God choose for an important work in Sweden and the entire Church. The reader should expect to be awed and entertained as this well read book inspires them to greater belief that they too are called to be an instrument of God grace in this world.

No details on what she saw

Great book about St Bridgette but doesn’t give details of what she saw about the nativity, etc . Which is what I thought this book was about. I still enjoyed the details about her life and realized St Catherine daughter of St Bridgette is different than St Anne Catherine Emerich.
