Cozy winter island and wolves!

I really am enjoying this series - the biokink is so interesting. I appreciated how much time went into unlearning and reteaching love, compassion, and trust over forcing consent, and how a caring dominant could help a scared submissive. I thought the exploration into their relationship and dynamic was done well.

Also adored those wolf pups! And Dragan's daughter was a very fun side character. Also loved the couple (and can't wait for their book.)

I really enjoyed the relationship growth as well as all the supporting characters in this series. It feels like a cozy warm island of family, even though it's so cold and snowy there.

The Wolf Breaker gets his Wolf mate

I love Dragan and Zev's story! Zev escapes his home where he has been taken advantage off since he was young and finds Dragan who helps him to believe in himself. Dragan is a great leader who is compassionate and yet firm. I thought the pacing was very well done and while you don't have to read the one before to follow the events in this story, I do think it would be good just to get an understanding of the Lukoi. We get better acquainted with some of the other villagers, and especially Dragan's daughter Elena. Plus we get to check in with Victor and Sava! There's also a few new favorites and I absolutely love Sasha! Kris does such a good job with him that I laughed out loud every time Sasha had some dialogue.

The audio was cleaner than previous stories without any jumps or repeats. Kris Anthem is truly amazing at voices though I do think Victor's speech mannerisms snuck ever so subtly in during some of the longer passages. It definitely didn't take anything away and I love the timber to Dragan's voice. These stories are definitely ones that I'll be relistening to time and again!
