Publisher's Summary

From a highly praised author whose fiction blurs the lines between lesbian and straight communities by speaking with intimate familiarity about loving and living as African American women comes a fast-paced story that explores the relationships and friendships.

Willow is at a crossroads. After caring for her father during his final days, she comes home to her flat in London wondering what’s next. Whether it’s traveling to some exotic location or starting her career in fashion, the only thing she is certain of is that she wants to finally experience the love she reads about in books. When a fluke change in the weather brings a sexy stranger into her life, she decides to throw caution to the wind and take her chances on love, which brings her to Memphis, Tennessee.

Seeing her happily ever after in front of her, Willow is thrown for a loop when she finds out she isn’t the only one vying for the woman she knows is the one for her. Now standing in unfamiliar territory, Willow prepares for the fight of her life, the fight to win the heart of the woman she loves from the woman who held the heart to begin with.

Katrina’s stuck between a rock and a hard place. On one hand she has the woman she loved, who left her high and dry, and on the other hand, an exciting new possibility. When the ultimatum is placed in front of her, does she go for the new beauty from across the pond or stay with the one who got away? Does this chef create the perfect dish, or is it a recipe for disaster?

Black International Love Story ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I would have given it 5 stars but even after speeding up the narrator to 1.2, it couldn’t produce a halfway decent British accent. The storyline itself about a group of wealthy black lesbians from Memphis TN crossing paths with a similar group of interracial British Aristocrats was very refreshing, and captivating. The smut meter was in the middle considering the level of hotness these sexy women were giving off. Terry the pharmacist was the only kinky one in the group b/c of her bedroom skills. The opportunity to have threesome was mentioned, a couple of times, but never happened.

Overall I really enjoyed the story and would definitely watch it on the movie screen.

Good story, subpar narration

I liked the story but it was hard to get past the poor narration. The narrator sounded like she was reading a book and there was no flow to her words. She also mispronounced some words which was odd.

It was interesting. The reader was kinda bland.

It was a so so book. I was expecting more but I didn't hate it. Give it a try. Also, it was easy to follow. Just had a bland reader feel to it. A for effort 👌🏾

Cliche Soap Opera Drama

I was excited to read a story with lesbian characters, however I was quickly disappointed when I realized that most of the lines are very uncreative cliches you've heard in many daytime soap operas or romantic comedies. Additionally, the narrator does a very poor job trying to imitate British accents, so much so that I wouldn't have know at all that they were British if the story line didn't indicate so. Finally, the storyline is pretty far fetched and it lacks depth.

Balls of confusion

Although the storyline was 'interesting" it was very predictable... Typical Lesbian U-Haul story. I got confused when somebody was in Nashville then in London then Atlanta then back in London... I couldn't keep up with where folks were. Overall just confusing... The narrator was cool 😎

Good story, but...

So, I like the way Skyy writes, the narrator was okay and bearable, but the English accent was awful, its was like listening to an American saying British words... It didn't even sound like she tried tbh....
I wouldn't listen again, but the story was good.
