Publisher's summary

From book one: Being able to rip the soul out of a creature, store it in a precious gem, and use it to cast spells might make me the most powerful student at the Astra Argent Magical Academy. Only I can’t tell anybody about it.

Because it's illegal, and they’ll kill me if they find out.

But they need me whether they know it yet or not, so I’m going to capture a lot of souls and cast a lot of spells.

This is gonna be a crazy semester.

This is a monster-girl harem dark-magic academy story.

Not bad

Probably a 4 star but its worth getting book 2. Since the book just ends mid story

Great one

so i really liked the idea and story of this book but i probably won't be buying the second one on audible i could barely stand the male narrator, it made me cringe more than once the only reason i finished the audiobook was because i love the work of logan jacobs and the female narrator was able to make it up for the not so good partner

Meh..It is what it is.

Dont buy if your looking for an incredible adventure with complex world worldbuilding. Do buy if your just looking for some light fantasy with fun (if not predictable) characters. I would compare it to watching a bunch of YouTube videos because you have nothing better to do. A great time-killer but nothing special to to write home about.

What’s wrong with me?

Don’t know why but I can’t stop. The story was actually adorable, till the flowers happened (that’s cool). The narrators were great, Alex’s high voices are a joy, and Marissa can switch so damn easily. I hope I don’t burnout on later installments

fun story

Disclaimer I skipped all of the adult Parts in this book. So this is solely based on the factor of story and romance not sex.

voice actors who makes this book really good. They do a good job of character acting in different personalities with voice. that's the main reason why I'm probably was big into the series was the voice actors. As far as the story goes it was pretty good. there are a lot of stereotypes and plot is predictable. so if you're looking for a high level storytelling this is not the book for you. on a basic fun level I would it does its job well. the whole entire life of a college fantasy is actually pretty fun. Mix it with magic an actual drama and that's what you have with this book. in the story overall does a good job of taking you through everything. I think the characters are very likable. You tend to want to get invested to know even the worst of them. The world in of itself is pretty good too as well. the romance between characters is believable. Which usually is a problem in most types of books such as this. the ending leaves you at a good wanting more. Overall I would say the book is a 3.6. It does a good job for what it's doing and the story is not bad.
