Publisher's summary

Books and More owner Nina Foster doesn't believe in love anymore. Twice, men have crushed her heart. Now, she's resigned herself to making hot chocolate and baking cookies for the customers who enter her store. She won't risk her heart again.

Blake Massie hides away from the world, nursing his scars. He sees himself as a monster that no one could ever love. A self-imposed recluse, he won't allow himself to open up, afraid of being burned like his fire-ravaged skin.

Unable to reach out in person, the pair communicates via the Internet and hot, erotic fantasies. Night after night, they explore their growing passion with only a blindfold to protect their secrets. As Christmas approaches, Blake must share his pain if he is to ease hers, but doing so could drive her away forever. Can they take a chance and follow their deepest soul dreams, or will their fragile hearts continue to hide from the world and one another?

I loved this story! It was a great surprise!

This book was perfect! I didn't expect it to be such a captivating listening! Beautiful love story This is the most beautiful Christmas story I have read this year! Nina and : emotional, deep, sweet and heart wrenching. Blake and Nina are two wounded people who connect online and also in their shared erotic dreams. Nina;s wounds are emotional, Blake's scars are after a terrible accident. Their bond is full of insecurities and also hope.

The narrator did a wonderful job and the HEA was beautiful and sweet!

This is my first book by Desiree Holt and it won't be my last.

Dreams can come true

I was gifted this audible book by Desiree, for a fair and honest review. Thank you
I am not familiar with the narrator Carlie McKinsey, but she did a fantastic job, and will look for more of her narration.

The story- Nina Foster was crushed by a betrayal so much so that she left her job, her home, and moved cross country to Wyoming to start fresh.
Blake Massey left Texas, his family and a thriving ranch, came to Wyoming to hide from a horrendous accident that left him scared and harrowed. All he wants is to wallow in his own self pity.
Unknown to either of them they are drawn together by a bizarre circumstance and neither can resist.
This is a hot, steamy, erotic fantasy.

Good First For Holt - Great Performance By Carlie

Nina Foster owns a small bookstore in town. Despite this book being set in the digital age, she has a thriving business that she loves.

We quickly learn that there is one customer that she has never seen and only speaks to you via text. He is everything that she wants, but whenever she, timidly, asks a personal question, she is almost instantaneously shut down by him.

Blake is this mystery man. He buys books that are not in her bookstore. Books that she will order for him and personally deliver...to his butler.

The flirting between them becomes something more serious. However, Blake is resistant to reveal his whole self. He's insecure yet demanding. How far and how much is Nina willing to share without those feelings reciprocated?

Carlie McKinsey is a talented narrator and pulled me into the story that I was not sure about. The energy that she put into her performance kept me listening.

Desiree Holt started with a great story that kind of lost its way, it strayed off. Some situations were unbelievable. For example, the town is pretty small, but Nina was never told who, how or why Blake became the recluse he was....

My recommendation; accept the misgivings and grab it on sale or purchase outright. I'm keeping an eye out or Miss Holt's next book.

Overall I give this book 3.5 stars, performance 4 stars & Story 3.5 stars.

Warnings:mature themes & strong language

Soul Dreams

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes.

I loved Nina and Blake's story. Their past and their life in the future.

They were both hurt: Nina emotionally and Blake Physically, both had issues to deal with, and I loved the way they connected
.

Would you be willing to try another book from Desiree Holt? Why or why not?

Yes.

I appreciated the way Desiree made Nina and Blake connect through books, with intimate chatting on line (with them, it was intimate and helped build the relationship), and than as anonymous lovers in dreams.

I was intrigued by the concept and was reward with a satisfying and believable execution.

Which scene was your favorite?

I love the intimate scenes between Nina and Blake. And I mean the intimacy, the trust Nina gave Blake (with her heart and body).

Did Soul Dreams inspire you to do anything?

To let go of the past, keep believing in love and the possibilities in dreams...
