Publisher's summary

Kat O'Connor is no pushover. She's a no-nonsense girl with a common-sense approach to life. But there's nothing common about what's happening to her lately....

First she was forced to have a kinky mind ménage with two of the hottest and most irritating men in the galaxy - Twin Kindred warriors Deep and Lock - in order to locate her kidnapped friend. Then she couldn't get their feelings out of her head. And now she's on her way to their home planet, Twin Moons, to find a cure for the debilitating illness their unorthodox joining caused, when all she really wants to do is go home.

Locks Tight, the light twin of the two, is already in love with Kat. Her curvy, plus-sized body is the epitome of beauty on his home planet, and her sharp mind makes her doubly attractive. Though he fell for her the moment he saw her, Twin Kindred are unable to mate a woman alone. Lock knows nothing can happen between them without his brother....

Stabs Deep. The dark twin has a secret agony in his past - a tragedy he feels he and he alone is to blame for. He, too, hungers for Kat, but he hides his fear of rejection behind an impenetrable wall of angry sarcasm. For if he lets anyone get too close, the unbearable pain he has already endured once may happen again.

Now Kat and her twin warriors are on a quest - but they're all looking for different things. Kat wants to find a way to dissolve the half-formed bond between them so she can be alone in her own head again. Lock wants to convince both her and his brother to complete the bond that will keep them together forever. And Deep is trying to protect his heart and love Kat from afar...though it grows more and more difficult to deny the hunger he feels for her growing inside him.

Continual of kindred story with DIVERSITY. GREAT

Excellent 14 hour continual story of the 3 ladies & their relationship with males from other worlds. AND finally adding a black female (biracial relative) in the story.. This was worth the money & wait. Yes at times there was over description to extend the story line which was irritating when you just wanted to find out what happen. But, it was worth the wait. I have always enjoyed stories with "aliens" coming to earth & enjoy ALL races not just anglo ones. Specially due to 88% of the world population is ASIAN and 93% is non white. I appreciate the writer attempting to throw a different skin color females in the story once in awhile. I can't wait to see how the "cousin" with the mark & the all father's son will play into future stories. I hope the writer DOES NOT change her race or skin color.. I look forward to the next book.. Great job. For those of us the buy audible books and are loyal to the arts that support DIVERSITY with characters.. KUDOS from this middle aged (educated) medical professional female with dark skin... (hint hint) GET THIS BOOK!! extremely entertaining & worth the money!

TWINS WERE SCARING & DRAINING THE LIFE FROM KAT

If you're looking for a hot, exciting and enjoyable Sci-Fi romance then you can't beat Evangeline Anderson's imaginative world of the Kindred. Her vivid worldbuilding skills are awesome as she paints fictional worlds, hot Alpha Warriors and the feisty women they claim. This time it's Kat's turn and we met her in book 2 as she was struggling to come to terms with her accidental half bonding of the Twin Kindred Warriors Lock and Deep and trying to find a way out of it because it scared the Hell out of her. Lock is the kind, thoughtful and gentle blonde twin who's desperate to keep the bond and Deep is haunted by a past event and it's not allowing him to move on, have patience or bond with Kat because he feels her rejection of him very deeply which has a disastrous effect on all three of them.

There's non-stop action whether it's emotional, drama-filled or sexual as Kat's refusal to bond with them puts her life in danger more than once, takes them to strange destinations until, in the end, all three lives hang by a thread. We get to catch up with well loved characters from the previous books, new characters as the Scurge's evil All Father has finally captured the Earth woman that will fulfill the Prophecy and bear him daughters and we get to learn more about the Twin Warrior's world, beliefs and capabilities. The ménage sex is hinted at at first, then lightly discussed and eventually acted on when everything seems lost. The All Father's confused son is in a lot of scenes as his feelings towards the captured Earth woman slowly come to life. There's humor too from this triple POV listen and I'm in awe at the skilled narrator whose voice and emotions had to change for at least 14 characters (I lost count after that) and she successfully nailed each one.

Worth a credit? A great listen if you like Sci-Fi, the dysfunctional romance was always there bubbling in the background and only finally got resolved towards the end, lots of angst between the three main characters and plenty of life-threatening drama. So, YES a creditworthy listen...... and the secondary plot of war with the Scurge is just heating up ready for the spark that's eventually going to blow the whole thing up.

A Smokin` Hot Story…..

…. my headphones shorted out!

Evangeline has very creative mind! She can write an enticing erotic story, with a fascinating plot, and well developed characters that will also tug at your heart strings!

I've put off listening to Sought for some time now because I've never really been interested in listening to a story about threesomes; however, I wanted to hear Kat's story, and get ready for the next book in the series. I've listen to other books that had scenes that involved a plethora of erotic and naughty ideas, but never one quite like this story! Evangeline did an amazing job delivery such an erotic story tastefully.

Kudos to Ann Johnstonbrown on narrating such an sexy story! I don't know if I could have done it, I'd probably laughed myself silly trying to say some stuff the was mention in this story! :-) Awesome job on the narration!

I'm looking forward to see what's in store for us, in book four! Well worth my time and recommend the story by credit, sale or whispersync!

This is a great series

I received a free copy of the audiobook for an honest review.

Sought is the third book in the Brides of the Kindred series. I had listened to the first 2 books, Claimed and Hunted, about twins Olivia and Sophia, and the warriors who claimed them. Sought is about their best friend, Kat, who is in grave danger unless the twin Kindred, Lock and Deep, can figure out how to help her. Olivia and Sophia also find out that they have a cousin, but she has been kidnapped by the Scourge so they don't know if they'll ever get to know her.

I like the characters in these books. I love the way the Kindred warriors protect the woman they love. Lock and Deep are no different, but Deep and Kat both have issues to overcome and they're both as stubborn as can be.

I don't read a lot of erotic romance but I think these books are great. I like the way Evangeline Anderson incorporates sex into the story. The people who are in love physically need each other. I can't wait for the next audiobook from Evangeline Anderson!

Warning: this is an erotic romance so if you're not comfortable with a lot of sex and sexually explicit language, don't read this book.

Great Story Line As Always, But Laurens Voice.....

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, its a fun "out-of-this-world" read. Literally. But it still appeals to the romantic at heart.

What did you like best about this story?

I like the adventure and how I never knew what was coming up. It has unpredictable moments, lots of them, which made it hard for me not to want to listen every chance I got.

What does Anne Johnstonbrown bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Anne Johnstonbrown is a fabulous narrator. That is why I was so disappointed with how she did Laurens voice. So, Lauren is bi-racial (African American and White). And she is described and educated and from California. So I expected to hear that reflected. Instead, she made her sound like a old country bumpkin. Her voice does not match the authors description of her at all. It was like listening to my grandmother. She is young and beautiful and her voice for her held no youth at all. Being African American, it was a let down. She would have been better off making her sound more like Olivia with a west coast accent. I almost didn't want to listen because I was so disappointed. But I enjoy the series so I toughed it out, but many times I found myself wincing and rolling my eyes because it didn't go together.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, the scene with Deep and the Mother of Life.

Two for the price of one...

This third book in the Brides of the Kindred series focuses on Kat, Lock and Deep...the twin Kindred. I have to say, there were some VERY hot moments in this book, and Kat is a size 18, so it was nice to hear a story about a plus size woman being worshiped.

On Twin Moons, the home world of Lock and Deep the women are tall and slender, pretty much super model like, which is why the rare plus size female sticks out like a sore thumb and catches the eye of every man on the planet. Anyone plus sized is considered an Elite, a near Goddess, and Kat fits the description to the T. She wasn't interested in becoming involved with Deep and Lock but circumstances beyond her control left her in their care. She had to depend on them to help her, or she would die.

Lots of hot 3-way stuff going on, absolutely no male-male stuff. Once again though it appeared the author had two stories to tell about the same three people and I wish the book was shorter. I also wish their was less misunderstandings between the main characters, but still an enjoyable listen.

Great for sale or credit, too much fluff for a buy though.

good story But to long

good series but they drag out the story to long. your were listening to two stories at once. they embed the next story into this one from the begging. in my opinion it should have been told towards the end of the story instead of throughout the story. to much angst with the twin kindred. narrator did a decent job. not sure if worth a credit, maybe a book when it's on sale

Kinda fell flat for me

I really enjoyed the progression of the plot lines in this book. I just hated the “issues” of Kat and the twins. Seriously, super hot guys want you!! Get over it and get busy with them! I never really understood her reasons for holding back with them, it was flimsy at best. Beyond that, the Scourge plot was fascinating. There was so much happening in that dynamic. Finally, we get much more of the backstory with these guys and the Kindred. I hope there is more to come on that front!

The steam here was much like the other books in the series. Lots of foreplay and teasing, mating doesn’t happen until the end. All the repetition in the grouping gets daunting. Kay and Deep are stubborn beyond belief, poor Lock! BTW, what is up with the blatantly sexual names of all these twins!

The mixed narrative, was good to get into the heads of everybody, as annoying as they were at times. The supporting characters were more interesting to me than the leads. This was not my favorite grouping, however, I have hope the next book will be much better. If the story hints are any indication it will be a deep book!

Anne Johnstonbrown does a fantastic job with the narration of the audiobook. She has a fast pace in the read and plenty of great energy. She made the slower parts of the story move nicely. Her tone is smooth and flows beautifully with the series. I do hope she will keep with the books!

The Twin Moons world was much stranger than I expected. Um… mating fruit sounds dangerous! I have liked that this book and the last one took us to their worlds and gave a taste of the men’s cultures. It makes the world creature all the more creative and engaging.

I really hope the series progresses past the unending struggle of the women deciding to mate with the ridiculously hot and sweet aliens. Seriously, I would be all over that and then some!

Love it!

After listening to the first two on audible I couldn't wait for this one to become available, I devoured it and the other books, up to 15, via digital print. It was great getting to hear the characters again. Looking forward to getting to hear found as well, but really looking forward to when Forgotten comes out in print!
