Not really an audiobook so much as a screenplay

This was not a reading of the book, but some type of screenplay, or theatrical adaption.

Feels like details are missing from the story

As a first time listener of this story, I had a little trouble following on dialogue alone. I selected this version rather than a narration of the book because I liked the different actors used to separate dialogue.

Radio show

This is not a reading of the book; rather, it is Bradbury's own conversion to a radio show. It is performed by a group of different voices and musicians. It is very enjoyable to listen to. I listened to it in the middle of June, but it would be so much more enjoyable for October evenings; I may revisit this audiobook this fall! The kids' voices are kind of annoying, but the rest of the story is engrossing and exciting. Of course, there are some differences between this and the Disney movie; both are great to experience.

Not an audiobook

I bought on sale and didn't read enough reviews. This is as if you're sitting the the lobby of a stage production with the curtains drawn. Difficult to follow.

This is not a read book

I was surprised to hear that the audio resembles listening to a movie or play. It has different actors for each character and is accompanied, or should I say dominated, by sound effects and music. It really resembles listening to a movie rather than having a book read to you. Very disappointing.

NOT an audiobook

I loved this book, but this audio play took out all of the narration, only relying on dialogue, and made it confusing and lacking in the rich descriptions that made the book enjoyable in the first place.

Disappointed with my Favorite

Something Wicked This Way Comes is one of my favorite books. I just did not care for the audio version. If I did not already know the story I think I would have had a difficult time with it, so my opinion is this version really ruined it.

A brilliant story but not a performance I liked

Essentially this is the story performed as a radio drama.
I loved the other audible.
