Publisher's Summary

Planning my own wedding should mean I'm having the time of my life...not defending it every time I turn around. Dragons, feral Wolves and Were Cows...I mean who in the hell knew Were Cows even existed?

All I wanna do is marry Hank, have 2.5 beautiful little Werewolf babies, and live happily ever after while having sex on a very regular basis. Oh...and I still want to shoot stuff occasionally.

Apparently no one got the memo.

Instead of complaining about the price of flowers, cakes, and the fact that my gay Vampyre BFF, Dwayne, insists on wearing a dress at my nuptials, I'm locked and loaded, trying to ascertain who wants my ass six feet under. With Hank at my side and some surprising allies at our disposal, we will take on the bad dudes...one bloody clusterhump of a sucktastic battle at a time. No one ever said the Werewolf life was going to be easy, but this week we couldn't catch a break if it bit us in the ass.

Enjoyable

I took a chance and found it to be a great series and Holly does a great job narrating.

Loved it

I tried so hard not to drive and let stern because I was afraid I would drive in a ditch. This is a great listen and so far both books have been great. Starting the third one next.

Jesus Heezus, this is a sassy, trashy, hot mess

This book pinballs from one crazy bit gag to another, with a barely held together plot arc about tracking down the potential dragons and were-Council conspirators threatening all magic kind. When I’m in the mood for National Lampoons style urban fantasy, this series will definitely scratch my itch.

Fair warning though; this is irreverent, bonkers, and wrong on multiple levels. If you can’t handle bodily humor like exploding farts, endless jokes about Dwayne the gay vampire, or Essie’s constant horn-dog mouth, then this book isn’t for you. There’s tons of profanity, although much of it is of the creative “mother humping” variety. I for one like warped, crack-tastic stories that takes the quippy Buffy Summers vibe and dials it up to Deadpool level absurdity...all delivered with the spiked lemonade Georgia accent of fabulous narrator Holly Jackson.

loved the cows

Very funny story line with great characters and plot. Similar to Molly Harper's books in terms of humor. Personally could have been written with less swear words since the writer was so creative with regular words. Over all great read. I will be finishing the series!

Excellent book!

This book is a little more serious than the other Robyn Peterman books that I've listened to, but it's still hilarious! I love how the plot grew and touched so many characters in unexpected ways, and the hysterical touches that ensured that such serious issues never bogged me down in stress.

The narration was excellent, clear and easy to understand at all times.

Trouble with feral wolves and dragons.

Essie and Hank head back to Chicago with Granny and Dwayne, but there are a lot of shifters to deal with. First stop a we’re cow farm, yeah, new species to me, but they are the least of the groups troubles. Feral wolves, vampires and dragons will have to be contended with as well. We can wager on this group!

It's okay

The narrator does a great job, but the story is okay. I mean the book focuses way too much on her friend Dwayne. He kind of got on my nerves and annoying with his wanting to seek attention all the time. Not to mention the viral name for Jesus H was very annoying like let's move on from that. The book got better towards the end with the action sequences. If you can make it through the beginning and the fact trying to push the whole Jesus thing, then you more power to you. Other than that, it's just okay. It definitely misrepresents the state of Georgia where I am from.

Funny, but seriously?

Kept me laughing all day, but I just can't see Bones, Vlad, Dimitri or Spike marrying were cows! Not sure about Barnabas....

Hilarious and on par But...

If you have read/listened-to Robyn Peterman's other work you know what you are in for, paranormal beings, hilarity, and quirky humour, inc puns. If this is your first in this series, I would start at the beginning, not here.

Content Warning for non binary, trans, gender fluid, and/or gender non conforming.
BUT, while these books are meant to be funny and might be offensive.... it is Never ok to dehumanise a vulnerable group of people just because you don't understand their gender. If you do not know someone's pronoun, pay attention to those who know them, and/or ask privately, until you do "they " is a pretty widely accepted gender neutral in english. "It" should never refer to a person.
