Quick Thoughts: The best way to describe my experience while reading/listening: Rip Roaring Fun. Brigitta and Rupert were such strong characters but I really fell in love with their spunk. Their banter kept me in stitches. I liked that because it made me think they would have a great solid friendship along with the love that came to them. That is important because I can see a long future ahead of them.

Audio Thoughts: Narrated by: Jill Tanner who brought to life Rupert and Brigitta really well. She really stood out with Brigitta and the pacing. There was some pretty rapid fire banter in this story and Jill really stayed on pace. I had fun listening.

So much better than the traditional romance

Holy Hot Pockets! This book is the 2nd in the embraced series and carries on the story of the lost ones who became sisters as orphans in a convent on a remote island. In this one Brigitta finds her tall, dark and handsome only he's a pirate....cue, lusty thoughts here! LOL, I didn't even know I liked paranormal romance but I am flying through these books and can't get enough. Handsome men with special powers, beautiful strong willed women with special powers, toss in some shape shifters, dragons and more to round out an incredible plot that will keep you turning pages!

Some Recording and Pronunciation Issues

There were a few times when I could here background noise on the recording. Some words were pronounced incorrectly, or there where some nonstandard pronunciations

I just loved listening to this book. Can't wait for the next sequel Kerrelyn is an awesome story teller

Interesting story

I loved how this story was related to How to Tame a Beast in Seven Days, but is also its own very different story. Oh the overall theme is the same. Boy meet girl. Boy falls for girl. Girl falls for boy. Things happen and they find themselves King and Queen of their province. However, how they get there . . . Their "embraced" powers are very different. Their paths that lead them to this story is well written and interesting. The challenges are breathtaking. Or is that breath steeling? I was a big fan of the narrator. She wasn't consistent with her voices, sometimes making it difficult to distinguish characters .
