It was supposed to be a family vacation. The celebration of a birthday. A weekend of skiing and smiles. But something haunts the slopes, hunts beneath the snow. No longer does it require the sea, no longer the depths of dark waves. Conditioned for land, a winter terror is unleashed upon the guests who inhabit the resort of White Cap Lodge. Slopes will run red, people will scream, and out there in the snow, no man, no woman, nor child, is safe from the jaws of:

Snow Shark!

It is no longer the sea you have to fear.

Better story than I anticipated! I enjoyed hearing the characters' point of view and getting to know them. There's plenty of killing in this one! I also didn't expect the ending. A great listen.

This book is a total blast and it pulls together all the things I love about B-Movie monster horror films. It's action packed and absurd and just never slows down. You can really tell the author has fun writing this as well as knows all the tropes and tricks to keep fans of the subgenre engaged. Sean Duregger catapults the story to an entirely different plane of existence with his enthusiasm, voices, and accents. There's never a dull moment! I look forward to the possibility of this author and narrator collaborating again because it was a mighty fun time!

This book was a mix-up of Peter Benchley's "White Shark" and the 1950's sci-fi movies I grew up on. Take a man-eating beast and mix it with a mad scientist type idea of weaponizing it to use in the military and you have an idea of what to expect.

But, who would have ever thought of a Snow Shark? Brian Berry, of course! This book is full of tension, blood and guts, and tons of gory scenes. I could almost hear the "Jaws" theme as I listened to this one. My only complaint is the overdone comments about women's anatomy that really had nothing to do with the story.

The narrator did a great job and his voices and pacing added a lot to this entertaining book. If you enjoy the old style movies with giant monsters created by the horrible government, give this one a try!

"Snow Shark" is about a government experiment gone wrong.
Alex and his family had planned a family ski vacation. They were expecting a fun relaxing time until a shark is accidentally dropped in the snow. YES...a shark. Anything is possible in slasher books.
The setting for "Snow Shark" was everything. I enjoy atmospheric books and Berry taps into this with such highly vivid descriptions that puts you in the cold frigid snow and the elegantly decorated ski lodge.
Berry's style of writing is what I prefer to read. Chapters were prefaced in the beginning with locations to help organize the story and altered between characters and settings flawlessly without the sense of confusion.
He wastes no time building a story and the book opens with action and gore and keeps the momentum constant for the entire book. No time prepping you on character development either. The dialogue educates the reader as to each characters personality without too much narrative and even the punctuation changes with each person's style.
The action scenes are brutal. The shark left a trail of blood and carnage as it attacked it's victims. "Snow Shark" is a great winter story. It is also the perfect story to escape from the the summer heat.

A super secret military prototype weapon is accidentally released on an unsuspecting ski resort - chaos is wreaked, havoc ensues. This book was a cross between a creature feature & a B-movie gorefest. It was over the top & utterly ridiculous and I loved every second of it. Highly recommended for anyone who loves gory 80s movies or those horror novels in the grocery store checkout line. The ones with the lurid, scary covers.

I received a free copy of this audio in exchange for an honest review.

just when you thought it was safe to...go skiing?

Your typical family friendly getaway goes wrong.......for everyone.

Snow shark was a pretty amazing 80s feel movie book. I loved that I could just relax and laugh at this book , its a feel good horror ( if thats a thing) but what really was amazing was the audio . Sean had me invested 100% I could tell he was into giving these characters life and I was sad that it was over.

Can't wait to read more from this author !

You thought it was safe to go out in the snow!!!!

What an incredible story!!!

So, this is about a shark that is somehow existing in the snow. The water’s most prolific monster now exists on land where it is a devastating force. After an incident happens, the shark is set free and is on the loose! Will a man and his family escape with their lives? Will the soldiers take down this infamous snow shark? Read it to find out!

I really enjoyed this wild wacky story a ton! One of my new favorite Brian Berry books! His writing prose is so crisp and stories are a fresh breath of air!

5/5 stars easily!

Yep. Gonna post this at too late o'clock but I haaaave to!!

Lemme back track first. Snow Shark by Brian Berry was the first book I picked up this hear and said, Kay, I'm gonna read every night for at least an hour again. EVERY NIGHT no excuses. I was dealing with a lot of stuff and just couldn't get myself to do what I enjoyed. I devoured Snow Shark in a couple days and I loved it. It was ridiculous, gory, b rate movie fun in a book. It wasn't meant to be taken seriously. And apparently it was just what I needed to get back into one of my many passions.

Brian knows I recommend this book REGULARLY. Because this poor man gets to deal with me tagging him all the freaking time. But I liked the book that much. After trying for years, honestly, something finally got me out of a severe slump. So if it fits the bill on anyone's post I always have it on my list to tell others about. Even my friends are sick of hearing about it.

My first review Brian said Snow Shark 2 was coming and I couldn't wait. I know I have a copy coming soon from Mr. Berry himself soon and I will once again halt my life for it cause I know it's worth it.

Now, a while ago I received a copy of Snow Shark narrarated by Sean Duregger for audible. Knowing I have Snow Shark 2 is almost here, I cleared my listening schedule today at work. I usually listen to my podcasts at work. Nope today was a 2nd enjoyment of Snow Shark! Sean killed it....and almost killed me. 😂😂 At one point in his narraration he screamed....as I held a piece of glass. I about threw the glass because of it. I didn't. I'm okay. My boss told me stop trying to die. It's fine. 😂

But now I need Sean to read, like, bare minimum 1/3 of everything I read to me. He's got a great voice. Which would sound odd in most other context. He's NOT a boring narrarator. He doesn't have a monotone voice. Despite already reading the book I thoroughly enjoyed listening to him narrate it through my entire shift.

Then Brian said he'll be doing Snow Shark 2 and if this isn't already a problem for me it's going to be quickly.

So once again. If you haven't read it yet, do it. And thank you Brian for going above and beyond to get me Snow Shark 2 since I've been less than patient for it. Thank you Sean for the copy of the audio book and introduction to a voice I need more of now.

Who knew anyone would have a very passionate review for a silly book about a Shark in snow. Surprise! Also if you read all of this and you're not Brian or Sean.....I'm gonna say it again, read the book. 😁🖤

It was pulpy and campy, but played straight perfectly with plenty of blood and teeth. I love Brian G berry’s writing style and couldn’t have been happier with Sean Duregger’s narration.

Incredibly fun
