Story
After being struck by an Iran-backed terrorist attack, Israel gives Iran a 72 hour ultimatum: Clear out your military bases before we destroy them by air. Iran responds: Enter our airspace, and we will launch nuclear attacks on Israel and on all US bases in the Mid-East.
With 72 hours to stop a nuclear Armageddon, there is only one man to turn to: Luke Stone. The President sends Luke on his boldest mission yet: to airdrop into Iran and find the secret location of the underground nukes, so that the US can take them out before it's too late.
In a mad race against time, Luke takes us on a roller-coaster through the chaotic and confusing terrain of Iran, as he scrambles to find their most-guarded secrets and prevent a war from destroying all mankind. Yet as one shocking twist follows another, it may, even for Luke, be too late.

Story
A passenger jet is attacked in Northern Africa by terrorists wielding RPGs, resulting in an enormous loss of life. Yet US intelligence reports this is merely a distraction, a prelude to a worse terror incident. A cargo ship is pirated off the African coast, and terrorists are puzzled to find in its vast hold just one mysterious crate. It contains a weapon they do not understand - one of vital interest to al Qaeda. It is a weapon, we learn, that will inflict catastrophic damage on the US if not stopped in time.

Publisher's Summary
A cyberattack on an obscure US dam leaves thousands dead and the government wondering who attacked it, and why. When they realize it is just the tip of the iceberg - and that the safety of all of America is at stake - the president has no choice but to call in Luke Stone.
Head of an elite, disbanded FBI team, Luke does not want the job. But with new enemies - foreign and domestic - closing in on her from all sides, the president can only trust him. What follows is an action-packed international roller-coaster, as Luke learns that the terrorists are more sophisticated than anyone realizes, that the target is more extensive than anyone could image - and that there is very little time left to save America.
A political thriller with non-stop action, dramatic international settings, unexpected twists and heart-pounding suspense, Situation Room is book three in the Luke Stone series, an explosive new series that will leave you listening late into the night.

From the sublime to the ridiculous
The narrator did what he could with the plot. Anyone who can read what sound like campy TV batman fight sounds ( KaPow) deserves credit. There were so many places where the reader/listener was expected to suspend belief in not only technical and political reality but also the mere passage of time that this would be better characterized as a fantasy novel.

Suspend disbelief and enjoy!!
The ability to suspend disbelief is important to enjoying most fiction. Enjoyment of Situation Room and the other two novels in the Luke Stone espionage thriller series requires a strong determination to maintain the suspension of disbelief. Action and suspense junkies will enjoy this series. The series is not great literature; heck, it is not even good literature, but is a wild and fun ride. That a top fashion model could become US president and that a US espionage agent reporting directly to the former fashion model goes in to North Korea and kills its leader are not the most difficult situations to believe.

Entertained
"Situation Room" provides the story and thrills that you would expect from this series. Ther were a couple of areas in the story that stretched the realm of possibility to near the breaking point. But it was an entertaining story all the same. I was a little disappointed in the beginning of the story when the narrerator was a little lazy in giving most of the early characters the same expressions in their conversations. But later each character developed their own characteristics that gave diversity to what was being read. Overall I enjoyed the book a lot.
