Publisher's summary

As the MELT bacteria spirals out of control, Bill Everlee works feverishly to prepare for what his wife predicts will be a catastrophic emergency. Alice, meanwhile, sees the results of MELT firsthand, realizing that even her worst predictions were grossly understated as MELT continues to wreak havoc in an ever-widening area....

A new, intensely thrilling series, MELT has received unanimous praise from beta readers and early reviewers alike. Written by JJ Pike and Mike Kraus, MELT examines a part of our world that we often take for granted. Add in a dash of real science and a glimpse of what the future might hold in store and you're presented with the recipe for MELT: a frighteningly real post-apocalyptic thriller.

The PG Apocalypse

Great thought process, great hook, but the shortcomings in realism in book one were expounded in this book. It almost seems to be an attempt to water down an awful event into a story that wouldn't offend children. Disney's The Vietnam War, or Life in a Nazi Concentration Camp as told by the Lutheran Church Primary School.
Still a great story to follow, and enough to get me to stay with the series.

story was a little off, performance excellent

the story was completely about the kids where the previous installment left the main characters of the parents in a cliff hanger. that doesn't go over well with me. felt like I wasted a credit.

A Story So Good you will wonder where time went

Book 2 focuses on the children in the family, and a couple questionable friends of their parents who show up when the parents have dis appeared at location 1 in Manhattan.

Hold onto your hats because the heroes and villians come out to fight.
