An Uplifting Story with a little romance thrown in

Bybee keeps the series new and interesting by changing up the plots in interesting ways. Unlike other series which offer cookie-cutter plots, Single by Saturday is the story of Karen who is a dedicated volunteer to help young teens. The story is about what she is willing to sacrifice for others and a message about how to stand by the people you value in life. Bybee offers example after example of strong support through Karen's actions and the actions of her friends.

This book has romance but more importantly it shows the value of great friends and family and their value. This book is light on the raw romance and more heavy on relationship aspects and the value of individuals' ethics. I give it a thumbs up and I think the series is alive and thriving.

Loved!!

There was a lot I liked about this book. The fake marriage, the forbidden romance, the kids the heroine was passionate about helping, and the family drama.

I loved both the MCs. I'm all about the instant connection, so when that's what happened with Karen and Zach, I knew I was going to love their story.

Karens character was extremely likable. She was nice and real. Her love for lost kids made her even more lovable. I loved her relationship with her fake husband and I loved the spark she had with his brother.

Zach's undeniable attraction to Karen was something I love to see from a hero. He didn't know the true reason she married his brother, so you get to see him battle with his morals about his attraction to her. Despite the tough situation they were in, I felt the author did a great job of still being able to bring us a romantic courtship between the two.

You also get the usual side characters from previous books. We also got Michael and Zach's family to meet and enjoy. I love the hints to their sisters upcoming book. I'm already intrigued by her and Rick's story. And on that note, I will start reading their book next.

Captivating listen

This is The third or fourth book of this author that I have listened to and have loved every one of them. They are fast paced they have a good plot lines and they keep you wanting to hear more. I thought after the first book that they wouldn’t be able to keep the interest level up, however the author has proven to be quite wrong and I enjoy and look forward to listening to her next book.

This book really centers around Karen and her relationship with her Hollywood husband and meeting his family. However it focuses on something that is a good moral value as well such as child abuse and taking A stand against it. This author always intermingles love and romance throughout her books but there always seems to be something of a good underlying moral message in them as well. It is a great read and I would recommend it highly!

Single by Saturday : loved it

I really enjoy the series. I read the books in random order, and I don't want to finish it,.
Book 6 should be read before book 7,but the rest of the booksit is not a must to read them in order, although it might be recommended.

If you read this series and did not read the First Wives series yet, then don't miss it.!!!

I loved this book: the storyline, the pace, the characters.
I loved the narration.
Catherine Bybee writes so well.

Binge worthy

This book has such a compelling story line and well defined characters. The narration by Tanya Eby was great. Not your every day boy meets girl story line, this book grabs the reader and never lets go. I binge listened to the whole story in one day.

Boring! (Warning: Spoiler Alert!!))

Well written by Catherine Bybee, but way too boring. The narrator was awesome and actually the best part of this audio book, for me. She did a great job.

However, certain parts of the story were a little silly. Why was Karen, a stranger in town, the only perceptive one and the only one willing to make, albeit silly, decisions to help Nolan and Becky? Why would she and Zach not think to take Nolan and Becky's case to the police first? Not to downplay the seriousness of Becky's situation, but the way it was blown out of proportion and handled, with a number of Karen's friends flying into Utah, was a bit unnecessary and almost ridiculous.

Furthermore, the romance in the story wasn't that deep for me, Truth be told, whenever Karen and Zach got together, I cringed. As the hero of the book, there was nothing attractive about Zach. In fact, his gay brother, Michael had more spunk and personality. Plus, Karen came across as a self-righteous Mrs know-it-all.

The ending of the book left me empty. Definitely not my cup of tea!
