When he came of age, Lorcan left to seek his own destiny. Since then, he has fought valiantly to rid the Dales of the Alizon invaders, but not even his efforts can prevent the deaths of many people, and the destruction of many keeps and garths. The war now over, he has survived, but so have those who would plunder the lands of the survivors. A wonderful story and a great easy listen
I have been a fan of the witch world and high Hallack books for many years. Silver May Tarnish has always been one of my favorites from that series. The two narrators did an amazing job of bringing this story to life. They gave the characters all the nuances and personality that I expected from the book. I highly recommend this audiobook. The story is one of struggle, determination and grit. That ends with understanding, friendship and the sense of renewal.

This completes The the High Halleck Cycle
It started with the Year of The Unicorn and finished with Silver May Tarnish. A great fantasy series. The only disappointment I have with it is there was no follow-up on the Year of The Unicorn/Jargoon Pard story arc. Classic Witch World Fantasy.
