Publisher's summary

He’s got the hots for his best friend’s dad....

Kiefer has been crushing on Greer since he was a teenager, never imagining anything could happen between them. Then, one night changes everything. Now, the older alpha is all he can think about, and things between them are heating up.

But Kiefer’s best friend Jaxon doesn’t want to see his father hurt, and Kiefer will need to stand strong if he’s going to keep his place at his mate’s side.

Greer has lost it all before. Can he risk his heart again?

A lifetime ago, Greer lost his wife and young child. Since then, he’s sealed off his heart, unwilling to let it be torn out a second time. But when he scents that Kiefer is his fated mate, Greer knows there’s no fighting the bond between them.

A second chance at love is more than Greer ever dreamed of, but a second chance at fatherhood has all of his protective instincts screaming to shield his mate and their unborn child from harm.

Greer’s zealous protection and Jaxon’s resentment might be too much for Kiefer to handle. He loves his mate and the life they could have together, but he refuses to be the reason the pack is torn apart.

Can he and Greer find a way to navigate both the complicated pack and family dynamics, or is their fated bond already doomed to break?

Sweet Listen

This is a pretty sweet and low angst age gap listen. There's a best friend's father issue here and that's the only part I wasn't real happy with how it was handled. Otherwise I really enjoyed the story and the complications of the relationships with all the cast of characters. I've been all over the place with this series so they really can stand alone but I think they're better together. Narration is done well overall a good listen.

Cute Relisten

As I am relistening to this series since I have finally added all the current audiobooks for it to my accounts, I can't help but remember why I tend to take breaks from these types of series. Don't get me wrong, I love Liam Kingsley and wish all of his series were on audio.

However much I enjoy these books, when you binge listen to them, the pattern is so much easier to recognize. This is not a bad thing since when you want or need a comfort read, you want to know that these books are going to leave you feeling all warm and tingly inside. This series definitely does the trick. I can't wait to enjoy the rest of the series.

I know that the narrator is not the same for all the books in the series, which is ok, since you are dealing with a different couple in each book. This narrator is not that familiar to me, but he did well with this story.

All in all a great addition to the series.

Great Listen!

I absolutely love this series.
Here we get Kiefer and Greer's story.
This is book five in the series.
Kiefer and Jackson were best friends growing up. Kiefer always had a crush on Jackson's dad. He never thought anything would ever come of it. So he moved on. Then things change one day and Greer realizes that Keifer is his fated mate. Oh my, these two were so wonderful together. I absolutely loved their chemistry and their story.
The only thing i did not like in this book was Jackson and his behavior. It completely messed with the story of the book for me. Thank goodness he was not in it very much.
Guillaume did an awesome job with the telling of the story and making you feel like you were there.

Kiefer and Greer

Silver Daddy is book 5 in the Timberwood Cove series and can be enjoyed in any order. Kiefer, an omega and single father, had a crush on his best friend Jaxon's dad Greer when they were teens. Now years later when Greer has accepted he will be alone after the loss of his firt mate, fate has other plans. I love this book and the dynamic between Kiefer and Greer. We get to see a vulnerable side to Greer as he deals with his fear of claiming another and a commanding side to Kiefer as he wants that commitment and to have their growing family together. Definitely recommend this book and series.
Narrator Guillaume Dubois does another fabulous job.

Touching

A lovely story, demonstrating how true the old saying is about age just being a number. Stacia is a great side character! I'm looking forward to the next book in the series!

Hot Silver Daddy

I love a good age gap romance, and this one was great, Greer just gives off those Daddy vibes and I was waiting for Keifer to say "Yes Daddy" in private.
The narrator did a good job with the voices of the characters.

Good age gap, fated mates story

This book is a good example of why age really can just be a number. Kiefer and Greer are a generation apart in age, but very similar in maturity. While things start off as an idyllic romance, Greer’s irrational fears and stubbornness, along with Jaxon’s alphahole treatment (which I felt was WAY over the top and detracted from the story) sabotage things in a big way. I think there could have been a better path for the story that didn’t make like a bad melodrama. The narration is good, with the characters sounding distinct and I fell in love with Kiefer’s daughter Stacia.

As a side note, I’ve read/listened to some, though not all, of the books in this series and it’s fairly easy to take each as a standalone without losing much to the stories.

Silver daddy and his son's friend

Kiefer has crushed on his friend's dad Greer for a long time. Greer had lost his chosen mate 30 yrs ago when she dies in childbirth. At a commitment ceremony, Greer scents his fated mate. The past haunts Greer and interferes with him having a Kiefer as his mate. Thankfully he wakes up and realizes that he may lose everything if he doesn't let the past control him. I absolutely did not like his son Jackson, he was not supportive at all. I absolutely love this series. Guillaume Dubois did an excellent job with the narration, each voice was different. Awesome job!!

The book in which Jackson crosses a line

Greer’s son Jackson isn’t in the book too much but when he is I want to yell at him. He’s not supportive and at one point almost commits violence. The fact that it’s glossed over and forgiven pretty easily is maddening. Abusive alphahole behavior against an omega is not cool. I liked the book a lot and it’s my only complaint in how Jackson doesn’t get called out for being so awful.
