Fun and engaging. Good characters. One of those series that leaves you feeling happy and wanting more of the stories.

Laugh out loud

When I tell you these books are beyond funny 😂😂😂, I’ve had to pull over several times because I was laughing so hard I was blinded by tears. The story lines are just awesome can’t wait to continue to listen to the next book!

GREAT AUTHOR!!

I usually find an author I like and binge listen to all their other books I can find! I had only listened to one or two of Julia Kent's stand-alone books in the past . I came upon these sets and Bootleg series and fell in love with these and more! Everything is included, comedy, romance, intrigue, & serious with a tear or more.

Hilariously entertaining!

I loved Declan’s POV and howled at his thoughts and perceptions of his relationship with Shannon. His salacious thoughts and desires are combined with the continuing horror of his future MIL’s machinations along with a disastrous engagement plan that backfires spectacularly. On the whole it’s hilarious, and wildly entertaining while Zachary Webber’s testosterone laden performance is heartfelt and appealing.

Andrew and Amanda’s romance is heartbreaking because of their childhood trauma and the offsetting frivolity of her unusual career (pregnancy classes!) as a mystery shopper. The outrageous rehearsal dinner shenanigans made me weak with laughter but I also spent a good amount of the book wanting to shake Shannon’s mother for her Momzilla ways. As a fibromyalgia patient I was really happy to see myself in the portrayal of Amanda’s mother Pamela whose physical struggles are sympathetically described. This story is a wonderful combination of comical moments and heartfelt discussions that I really enjoyed. I can’t wait to Andrew and Amanda’s romance is heartbreaking because of their childhood trauma and the offsetting frivolity of her unusual career (pregnancy classes!) as a mystery shopper. I’m sorry to say that Shannon and Declan’s escape from her mother’s machinations was a disappointment for me. While there are definitely some humorous moments that made me laugh out loud too much of the story is utter ridiculousness. Zany Vegas attractions including a sex toy convention, an X rated female spa gone amuck, and a visit to a top less bar instead of a tapas bar are just a few. Shannon’s ongoing whining about the differences between Declan’s billionaire lifestyle and her poor upbringing dragged on forever and the actual much anticipated wedding got lost in translation. Tanya Eby’s talents are impressive but Shannon’s whining was not.
