Great Boxed Set!

This is a great boxed set. The stories are entertaining, and the world building is captivating. I liked the action, and the twists and turns. Elle Sonali did a great job bringing the stories to life. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Great Set

I had previously listened to the second and third audiobooks in this series- Royal Dragon's Protector and Royal Dragon Daddy- and really enjoyed them. I was so glad to get the opportunity to listen to this set as I could listen to the beginning. Great world building and wonderful characters. I really enjoyed the premise of these stories. The first book, Dragon's Royal Guard, actually became my favorite in the series, and Kaylee my favorite heroine. Each of the four stories are a little different, and all were fun. (Please note, I didn't read or listen to the series Daddy Dragon Guardians)

Elle Sonali did a good job narrating this series. She did okay with the male voices, but of course was great with the female voices. I also liked her wizard voices.

I'll rate this as a set, but I'll also add my original reviews for the two audiobooks I previously listened to below.

Overall: 4 stars

Review Royal Dragon's Protector

I enjoyed this book. Good world building. I really enjoyed the fantasy setting opening with the evil tyrannical wizard. I was into it enough It felt a little jarring at first when it changed to modern time because I wanted to stay where I was lol I really liked Nora. Her cheerful and positive attitude warmed me to her right away. When she catches her boyfriend cheating on her and she tries to leave after confronting him and he gets physically violent, I really disliked that- in spite of her shock- she made no move to fight back despite being a dragon and I would think stronger or as strong as him. She needed a man to save her. I also hated that she didn't want to report him, or press charges- which I notice happens in other romance books, too for some reason. I listened to a couple other Meg Ripley audiobooks, but those had bear shifters. So a dragon shifter book was nice.

I listened to this audiobook narrated by Elle Sonali. She spoke clearly and I loved her voice for Nora. I also like her voices for the wizards in the beginning. Her voice for Kieran was okay.


Review Royal Dragon Daddy

I really enjoyed this book. I started the series with the previous book and really enjoyed it. Good world building. I loved the characters. Finn and Aurora made a good match and both were drawn to each other from the start. But while she knew he was a dragon, he didn't know she was fae. She was in a tough spot because the wizards were threatening and enslaving her people- including her father- in their hunt for the dragons. She needed to save them, but didn't count on falling for Finn or his infant son.

I listened to this audiobook narrated by Elle Sonali. I liked her in the last book and really liked her here. I like her tone of voice and thought she was excellent for the female characters. The males weren't that good. They just sounded like women with a little bit of a deeper voice. But I didn't mind because I liked her overall.

A good Series

I enjoyed the world Meg Ridley has created. From wizards, fae, dragons, magic and portals this series has it all. This collection has four short books. Elle Sonali did a good job narrating. Kudos to both Meg and Elle for jobs welll done.

ROYAL DRAGONS PROTECTOR; Kiernan and Nora; Shes raised to be alpha and hes an alpha protector.
ROYAL DRAGON DADDY; Finn and Aurora; Hes a dragon prince who has custody of his baby. Shes fae trying to help their world from being revealed.
ROYAL DRAGONS WITCH; Elliot and Sibyl. Hes a dragon prince and shes the daughter of the wizard bent on distroying the dragons.
Great world building and telling of their history.

Shifters

Great set of romantic shifter stories. Loved all the characters, just wish the stories were longer. The narrator is ok, most of the voices sound almost the same and the female voices are pretty bad.

Good Series

This box set contains the four books which make up the Dragons of Charok - Shifters Between Worlds series:

Dragon's Royal Guard:-
In this first book, we meet the main characters who are well-drawn but not necessarily likeable.
Kaylee the female lead is brattish, good with languages and passionate about archaeology. She’s from another world but there’s a lot she wasn’t told.
Archard's from Charok but he and his family find themselves on Earth, something he's far from happy about. Something he tended to take out on Kaylee. Archard is also an interesting character

Royal Dragon’s Protector:-
This book is about Diana a witch who agrees to fake a mate bond with Orien a disposed alpha werewolf so he can return to his pack and she can gain her freedom from Ono the current alpha a tyrant who keeps her on a short leash. When her powers awakened and Ono realised how powerful she was he tried to keep her under his thumb but he has no idea what she is capable of as Diana used a potion to mask her scent which kept everyone from knowing her power.

But then she realizes that Orien is her mate as he can't scent the real her because of the potion, will she ever gain her freedom? Someone else is keeping secrets, as well and Ono may not be the biggest threat Orien and Diana have to face.

Royal Dragon Daddy:-
I really enjoyed this book the excellent world-building continues and I loved the characters. Finn and Aurora are a good match and were drawn to each other from the start. But while she knew he was a dragon, he didn't know she was fae. The wizards are threatening and enslaving her people in their hunt for the dragons. Will she be able to save them? While trying to do so she didn't expect to fall for Finn or his son.

Royal Dragon's Witch:-
The war between the wizards and the dragons has now reached Earth! Elliot was one of four royal dragon eggs brought to Earth to protect them from the devastating war on Charok. Now grown he spends all of his free time studying for the bar exam. When he finishes the exam his cousins and their mates arrive to drag him out to celebrate at a bar. Once there he finds himself drawn to a woman, observing the activities from a dark corner. Sibyl is a witch who has recently arrived from Charok and is looking for dragons. Despite trying to focus on her mission she can't help being distracted by Elliot, who she assumes is human.

The attraction is mutual and sparks fly whenever they are together, but then Elliot discovers that Sibyl's the daughter of the wizard responsible for killing many dragons, including his mother the queen. What will happen when Sybil finds out that Elliot is one of the dragons she's here to destroy will she be able to complete her mission?

These audiobooks are narrated by Elle Sonali who did an excellent job with the female characters but when it came to the males there was some room for improvement. That said I still enjoyed listening to the series

This was a great boxed set filled with a series that will keep you coming back for more thanks to the entertaining characters. The narrator did a fantastic job of breathing life into the characters and making this a fun listen.

Dragon royal gaurd-This is the story of the charok Dragon that escaped during the war of storms and about Kaylee who has a gift of languages . When after a job at a dig brings her questions of charok, her father and her find varhan the wizard and find a way to look into a portal, but something goes wrong and brings back archard, callan , lucia, and Kieran to earth that also bring secrets and prophecy . Awesome story 10 stars. Royal Dragon protector-This is a beautiful story of Nora is one of the royal dragon's from charok . She has a YouTube channel called seeds of knowledge on botany and works in the lab mcknenlly hall university.on earth. Where kieren a new Dragon to earth who still knows of wizard tazarre and war. So when he feels he need to protect Nora he don't know the whole truth why royal Dragon daddy-This is a story of Finn a royal Dragon shifter. His family was from charok . He works for Anderson environmental who wanting to buy some land this is where he meets aurora a fay princess. Awesome story royal Dragon witch-Prince Elliot is a dragon shifter from charok rescued from a egg by beau and brought to earth during the war of storms. Witch sibyl is tararre's daughter now the lady of the caste in charok who goes to earth to track the dragons. Awesome story I loved this story the best of the series.

Intriguing world

This is one series that I had not heard of and jumped on the opportunity to listen to the audiobook, which contains all four books. The characters are wonderful, and the author does a good job building this world. Each story is intriguing in its own right as they embark on a journey to find their respective mates. Filled with dragons, witches, elves, wizards, and some twists and turns, make this one a feast for your listening pleasure. Elle Sonali is a talented narrator, but I would have preferred a dual narration for the male parts of the storyline which would have enhanced the overall body of work.
