This was a short tale of a Shield Knight and his niece. It includes zombie orcs, yes, you read that right! Magic, dark magical creatures, and great fantasy. This may be the prequel to the book series, not sure but it got me interested!

Alright.

Didn't engage me much, would have preferred something longer cause ghost orcs sound very inesterest. I might give this series a try someday.

Story was ok but thought reader was unimpressive. Probably will give the series a try.

Not bad D&D esk Sword and Sorcerery

If you're looking for a short and free Dungeons and Dragon esk story, this will serve. just turn the narration to 0.95 speed, the Narrator reads at light speed.

Far better than any recent D&D official books. I'm going to be listening to the rest of this series, no doubt.

interesting read. narrator essay well spoken and used emphasis very well. I look foreward to the full novel.

A fast paced, intriguing, dark fantasy prequel

*this is currently included with audible from Podium Audio so I checked it out. I’m a fan of it for sure. I enjoyed the narrator, not my favorite ever, but good!

This is a Sevenfold Sword (and Shield Knight) prequel novella. It is also another Podium Audio that is currently included on Audible…are you seeing the trend here?

This one kind of broke the mold, I feel. It used a novella to do its world building and lore. Every bit of information you receive is interesting and makes you think, “wait, what is that?!“ I actually rewinded the audio multiple times to make sure I was hearing it correctly because it was a creature, or place, or person with an uncommon name. I feel like this is short fiction done right.

Necromancy? UNDEAD skeletal orcs? Ghost orcs that are pale and can turn invisible? Dark, evil elven magic? A sword with the power to burn out the darkness? Need I say more????

So, this is a series of 12, with just about as many accompanying novellas. Not sure when I’ll continue, but I’m really really intrigued.

good but could be better

the story was fine, however the narrator wasn't up to the task. the place and people names became muddled and all sounded the same, characters were not differentiated.

A fantastic new series I've just discovered, it's got bloody zombie bloody orcs in it, absolutley brilliant, Ridmark Arban is the Shield Knight, the defender of the realm of Andomhaim against dark magic, when Ridmark and a hunting party are out hunting mountain lions, but there is dark magic stirring in the mountains of Taliand the Elf runes, they are attacked by zombie orcs, immobilising their pray with a green magic mist, After been knocked into the valley below into the river, Ridmark must save his party, even the power of the Shield Knight might not be enough to save his party, Enter the Ghost Orcs, a frigging roller coaster adventure, the narration by Steven Brand is just class, highly recommend..😁

I didn't enjoy the narrator. At times it was difficult to work out who was talking
