Watson Almost Unlikable

Though I've thoroughly enjoyed the other Watson & Holmes Scripts to this point. This one was my least favorite. It was fairly predictable, and the bumbling Watson character was to overdone it was almost unlikable in this rendition. It is still worth a listen, especially if your prefer the Nigel Bruce rendition of Watson.

Cool

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This was fun to listen to. I had a feeling one particular character knew what was going on even if it was never really revealed. Watson takes this investigation head on and does a fairly decent job.

One of four new classic Holmes scripts

Ian shimwell has written four new classic scripts in the world of Holmes and Watson. They are available individually and also now as a completed volume. I grew up with a love for the old basil rathbone and Nigel Bruce black and white Holmes movies. This story is written and performed in that same spirit. Truly a wonderful addition to any Holmes fans collections. Highly recommended. The narrators deliver that old time movie/radio show feel. Great Holmes Short Story

Huge Sherlock Holmes fan and I definitely enjoyed this story. Reminded me a bit of The Hound of the Baskervilles. I really enjoyed Holmes's role in this story and liked how it was more about Lestrade and Watson. I feel like the role Holmes took doesn't show up as much in the newer stories.

I enjoyed Kevin Theis's narration. With his accent and different character voices, I felt he did Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson justice. I really liked how he played Lestrade as well. He really brings me back to listening to The New Adventures of Sherlock Holmes radio shows, not that I am old enough to have listened when they aired originally.

Entertaining

I received a free copy of this audio book at my own request and voluntarily leave this review.
As a Holmes fan this one lacks Holmes
Just Watson and Lestrade.
But still decent entertainment.

Enjoyable

An enjoyable Sherlock Holmes story. One without Holmes for most of the story. Well performed in the form of an audio drama with linking descriptions. Light humour balances out the slightly over the top performance. but Kevin Theis generally does a good job on the narration.
