Surprisingly good :D
I think I need to make a disclaimer? warning? with this review, because your enjoyment of this story will vary depending on your expectations.
If you are waiting for a canonical Sherlock Holmes' story, you'll be disappointed. These are not the characters you know and love, and therefore you'll be tempted to be very harsh in your opinion and even feel tempted to stop reading/listening to it. If you do that, you'll miss a fun, entertaining story with a clever plot and that would be a shame.
Oh! and this might be presented as a Holmes-Adler mystery, but the actual hero here is Watson :P
So yes, I was a bit annoyed at the beginning, but I soon find myself immersed in the story and really enjoyed it.
And Christopher Power's narration is excellent!
