Publisher's summary

I'm structure. She's chaos. I'm practicality. She's spontaneity. I'm off the market. She's Evie’s best friend. Nothing, and I mean nothing, will happen between us.

Jack Cooper’s a devoted single dad, just trying to make it through the morning without burning breakfast. His life is all about lists and rules and boundaries. (Raising three kids on his own, who can blame him?) Meanwhile, I’m a shameless free spirit looking for signs from the universe.

And Jack? He's a sign. No doubt.

The way his gaze skates across my face, gentle and questioning. The tired circles under his eyes and the hopeful smile quirking his lips. The proud lift of his chin....

Jack's my sign, all right...and he's flippin’ hot. Like total package, scream-his-name-while-biting-a-pillow hot.

But he's sworn off dating. And we're total opposites.

The last thing I want is to further complicate his life.

So what if I melt a little every time he smiles? Who cares if I have a thing for dark hair and blue eyes that caress my body when he looks at me?

All right, so I can’t stop fantasizing about the guy and completely adore his kids. It's not like that should stop me from trying to help the guy out...

...right?

Absolutely Lovely!!

I have fallen head over heels with Abby Brooks writing and it just lends itself so well to Stella and Connor's voices.

I'm still choked up over that beautiful HEA ending and cannot come up with enough words for how Absolutely Lovely the words and performances were in this book.

Loved it!!

I received an ALC of this book and I loved Jack and Amelia's story... lol especially all of her Woo woo stuff!! Lol

Amelia has moved to Wildrose Landing to live in Evie's house now that's she living next door with Alex, and she has grand plans to open her own shop to sell "good vibrations" (lol) which are essential oils, tshirts, and other items to remove negativity. She is just waiting for the perfect spot on Main St to become available first. Jack is just trying to make it day by day after being suddenly widowed with 3 children under 10 who have decided that "hellion" is their normal attitude.

They meet at the candy store as Jack's kids literally run into her making her purchases go everywhere. As they get to know each other a little more, she offers to help Jack out watching the kids during the day. She helps them calm down and remove their negative energy. Jack is skeptical about it all, but he has to admit that his children are much better behaved.

Finally they give in to their attraction and start at relationship. Unfortunately they don't hide it too well from the kids, and the eldest becomes very upset. He encourages the other two kids to make her life horrible. In addition to this new development, there is a old lady in town who has taken to posting negative things about her and Jack on Facebook (again!! Same lady from Fearless).

I don't want to ruin the story, so I'll stop there and just say that I truly enjoyed this story. Sigh... 😍😍😍. The narrators did an absolutely fantastic job. I typically don't like books in duet, but this one was seamless and very well done.

I wholeheartedly loved this book and the series! Can't wait to Reckless which features Jude and Izzy!

I recieved an ALC for my honest review.

4.5 stars for Jack & Amelia's quirky love story!!

What happens when the numbers guy falls for the woo-woo girl??

Jack's life hasn't turned out the way he planned. Ten years ago, he married the woman he loved and long the way they had three children but when his wife suddenly passes, he is left feeling lost. His days are filled with work, making sure his children are OK and trying to trudge through without messing them up too much. When he literally runs into Amelia, he is immediately drawn to the hippy woman with her boho skirts and essential oils. Even his kids respond well to her which they haven't done since their mother passed. He can't possibly start something with this woman, they are too different even if she makes his life of chaos seem calmer than it ever has been.

Amelia just moved to Wildrose Landing to be close to her best friend Evie and because her spirit guides are telling her that this is where her story will really begin. Upon arriving in WRL she immediately falls in love with the charm that this small town holds and even has her eye on where she wants her new store to be. When she goes to pick up some candy from the store for her best friend and her man she runs in to Jack's daughter and then spots the man with the healthy dose of arm candy. This man is why she is supposed to be in Wildrose, she just knows it.

As Amelia & Jack flirtations become stronger the inevitable, they are feeling isn't going away so they start to see where this could all go but Garrett isn't so on board. As Jack's oldest son he remembers the most about his mom and feels that Amelia might be trying to take her place. Can Amelia and Jack work through their struggles or is their relationship doomed from the start?

Stella Hunter & Connor Crais! That's it! If you are doing the audio all you need to know is that. I've loved Stella Hunter's narrations for a while now, but Connor is new to me and his deep almost growls are just delightful in every sense. I have so many of his books on my TBR because I want all the Connor in my earholes.

I didn't read book one in this series Fearless but I plan to go back and give it a listen because I loved all the goodness that was Wildrose Landing. Jack, Alex, Jude & Austin all best friends and all delicious make for a series perfect story of finding the one you love even if they don't seem like they are exactly what you are looking for.

Sweet, flirty & emotional

Amelia and Jack’s story was sweet, flirty and emotional and I love every moment of it. Amelia is a little lost and decides to follow her best friends lead and move to a small town in New England where she meets Jack widower and a single dad of three. They have instant chemistry when they meet despite being complete opposites. He is a rule follower and she is a free spirit that believe the universe sent her to the small town for him and his kids. I love the relationship that Amelia forms with children and how much she helps heal them and Jack after their loss. This one hit me in all the feels, I laughed, swooned and cried.

Stella Hunter and Connor Crais were the perfect duo for Amelia and Jack. I loved their kids voices and they brought so much more to the story with their voices and captured the emotions of the characters completely. I didn’t want this one to end. Highly recommend this one.

single dad/opposites attract

I really enjoyed this 2nd book in the series!
Jack, a widower with 3 young kids finds himself running into (literally) Amelia at her friends shop. She's the calm to his chaos. There is an instant awareness of one another even if they (or really just Jack) ignore it at first.

Amelia is this sweet free-spirited woman who I felt such a pull to. I loved her character, she has such a big heart and so much love to give.

Jack is just trying to be a good dad and drowning in the stress of daily life.

Stella Hunter and Connor Crais are back to narrate this one and they nailed these two!

Single Dad Romance Goals

I was absolutely anticipating this book after reading Fearless. Jack didn't get as much "screen time" but he certainly made an impression with the little scenes he had. Amelia grew on me.

This was such an endearing story. Single dads are awesome and Jack's love for his kids was just too sweet. You can see him trying and being a parent, it's just so easy to become a martyr and forget all about yourself.

The great thing about Amelia and Jack was that they balanced each other out, until they think too hard, then it just complicates things.

I also got to listen to the audio version of this book. I loved that Connor Crais and Stella Hunter are back for this series. Connor can do suave yet funny so well. Stella has this aura with her voice that just flows so well with Amelia's personality. Cooky and calm. I loved it!
