Publisher's Summary

When Taya is faced with deciding who will live or die, she struggles to accept the outcome when the choice is made for her.

As Raven Point mourns the loss of one of their own, they band together with the witches to seek vengeance. Not only for their fallen pack mate, but for anyone who has suffered from Declan's decisions.

Though the battle looms near, Taya finds herself continually drawn to Liam. She must decide if they're stronger together or if he's merely a distraction she can't afford right now.

When the dust settles, and the consequences of their actions come to light, Taya and Liam may just find themselves at their breaking point.

Love, Love!

Heather Renee did it to me again! This book is fantastic. She really out did herself with this book. The story just keeps getting better. I love where Taya, Liam, and Auggie story has continued from book one. This series is one of my favorite wolf shifter series. Just like book one it leaves you wanting more!

Another Well Written and Brilliantly Narrated Tale

Once again I was swept away by this kick tush series!! My poor heart was broken and battered! But the need to push on was fierce!! I adore Taya for so many reasons!! I like all of the main characters immensely! I loved this narrator too!! She really hit all the spots for Taya in my mind. She really gave Taya the prefect voice and attitude that most perfectly matched the book! I can't wait to begin book 3!!!

Shades of Magic Book 2

As things come to a breaking point Taya is faced with more decisions to save her father. When that is over she must then choose what she will do about Liam. Is he going to be her mate or does she need to let him go. After all they are both in line to be Alha in different areas of different packs. Of course things are never that easy or cut and dry. Complications are around every corner. Kasi Hollowell does a fantastic job on the narration of this book and makes the story so easy to listen to as well as brings it to life. I can't wait for book 3!

Shades of Magic takes it up a notch!

Shades of Magic is the second installment in this fascinating trilogy, and continues with Taya and her friends as they try to find a solution to save their alpha and take down the enemies among their shifter community. Book two definitely takes it up a notch, and I loved the emotional layer that the author added to understand the level of familial closeness of this tight-knit pack, as well as the growing complexity of the romantic relationship that Taya and Liam share. And just when you think everything will work out, it ends in another cliffhanger and this one is a doozy! I can’t wait for the conclusion to see how it all unfolds. The narration carried over consistently from the first book. Kasi Hollowell gives a perfect performance throughout, giving the fiery spunk to Taya that makes her the heroine to adore.

Another hit!

This second book in the series is a bit slower but includes a bit of history. It's also a great continuation of the story. And the narrator beautifully brings it to life.

Shades of Magic

This book starts of right where the first ended and a very important decision has to be made. There is lots of turmoil and angst as well as the beginning of a relationship to deal with in this book and will keep you hooked until the end and begging for more.

Brace Yourself For An Emotional Ride

Well holy dang shifter babies I thought the last book was emotional but yeah this one totally just hit that out the park. I'm not a big crier in life but I was definitely internally ugly crying for sure. Seriously it felt like so much went down in this book and my emotions were legit all over the place. Heather really turned up the emotional heat with this one but it was incredible. I'll just walk through the fire coz its totally worth it.

If you loved the first instalment there's absolutely no reason why you won't love this one! The story keeps up a good pace and I continued to love how everything unfolded. The plot is easy to follow but not to the point you think its too easy...honestly nothing about this storyline feels this way when your reading it. It picks up right off from where book one finishes and gets right into it which is fantastic since book one stops with a fairly decent size cliffhanger. Honestly though it doesn't come quite as close as to how book two finishes. I wasn't emotionally prepared for what happened and it kinda felt a little like a kick to the gut

I really hope Declan Black will pay - oh how he must pay.

On to more happier notes...ohmygosh eeek Liam and Taya are soooo adorable. I just love their relationship and how it has grown. He's still as protective as ever and a wee bit possessive but well I find it adorable. Taya is so cheeky though with how she is always messing with him and trying to push his buttons to get a reaction. Its just too amusing. Here is one of my favourite scenes.

“We needed privacy. They didn’t look like the type to give it to us. Turns out I was right.”
Laughter once again took over my body. She was good. The next time I turned back toward the window, Liam’s face was fully visible in the glass, and he was glaring daggers at me.
I strode over to the window and pushed it open. “Hey there, Romeo.”
“Not funny, Taya. We couldn’t hear anything. We had no idea if you were alright. What did you think “we would do?”
“Well, considering I had no clue you’d been blocked from the room, I’m at a disadvantage. Had I known, I would have placed bets on who would come first and how long it would take you to come up with a plan and execute it. That was a missed opportunity.”
“Move,” he grunted.
I slid back, watching as his muscles pulled taut and he climbed through the window. Totally worth it.
“It’s not funny. You can wipe that smirk off your face now.”
He was being a party pooper. Grouchy old man."

There's just way too many amusing moments between these two and their friends. I've come to the simple conclusion that if Taya is involved there's never a dull moment. Seems like someone agreed with me too lol.

“I glanced back at Rick. “Glad you came with us?”
“Never a dull moment when you’re around,” he replied with a small smile."

There's just so much to love about this book and I can't wait til I can get my hands on Shades Of Deceit. Too bad I rushed through Shades Of Magic in like 6hrs so now I gotto wait a month or so until the next audiobook is released. Funnily enough though I had this super weird dream last night
of someone hiding the audiobooks from me so I couldn’t listen to Shades of Deceit and then were teasing me about it when they gave it to me...I then threw a pillow at them in frustration for keeping it from me. Like I said sooo weird 😂 I may be more like Taya then I realised haha. You're totally welcome for being brought in on my odd dream lol.

Anywho I'll leave it at that lol.

Thanks Heather for another amazing read!
