Our wounds are still fresh, but I refuse to give up. Declan Black messed with the wrong shifter and I won't stop until I've made him pay for what he's done. Having the help of the witch coven we searched for brings choices I wasn't ready to make, but as I say goodbye to one family member and welcome back another, I use the rage consuming me as fuel to continue moving forward in search for retribution.

Story
Patience and feelings were never things I could do well. Now, as Liam grieves - and my worst fears come to light - I'm torn between being a good mate and protecting my heart the only way I know how. As more trouble surfaces, we realize Declan isn't the only shifter we should have been watching out for. With a traitor in our midst, I'm faced with more than one battle in my need for vengeance. Just as I think we've gained the upper hand, I'm kicked back down, but my adversaries should have known better. I don't give up easily and I'll do whatever it takes to protect my pack.

I’m not just Allie Grace anymore. A beast slumbers beneath the surface of my skin. I have new urges and impulses. Not to mention a hot temper that flares up at the slightest provocation. But that’s not all - apparently, I’m also mated. It’s like a part of my soul has been sucked out, cleaved in two, and deposited into Jared and Clay. The strange otherworldly force tying us together is all but impossible to ignore. I try my best, though. At least until other packs catch wind of the new wolf in Forest Grove. The one who has not yet chosen her pack.

For years, the monsters who killed my family have held me in a cage. Brutalized and half-starved. Only kept alive so they can steal my blood. Until one evening when four eerily gorgeous men break me out of my prison. They give me a soft bed and delicious food. They say they'll protect me — but their generosity may come at a price. My rescuers are monsters like my captors: fae who shift into wolves. A curse gripping the faerie realm turns them wild under the full moon. Only my blood can cure their rage.

It was an ordinary job. Another night, another asshole collector of the supernatural. I free some poor little beasties from their cages, pocket a few trinkets to pay my bills, and burn the place down on my way out. Just call me the Robin Hood of monster emancipation. I didn’t count on three manly monsters following me home like lost puppies. Stunningly hot lost puppies, but still. Now I’ve got a seductively cheeky incubus, a sweetly enthusiastic demon, and a grimly stoic angel camped out in my kitchen.

I thought I had it bad - living in my dead Dad’s old hunting blind in the woods, barely staying alive on apples and ramen...that was before the storm hit and destroyed the only form of shelter I had left. Enter, Jared. The hottest - and most unavailable - guy at school. Except he wasn’t Jared when he pulled me out of the mud. He wasn’t even human. As if that wasn’t unsettling enough, when he brought me back to his cabin, I found he wasn’t alone. Another guy, one I’d only ever heard about in whispers beneath the bleachers, was there too.

Publisher's Summary
There are several things I've always known growing up as the alpha's daughter. The most important ones being:
- My twin brother Cord was the perfect choice as successor to our father. Mostly because I wanted nothing to do with being an alpha-in-training.
- I had two of the best friends a girl could ever ask for: Cord and Augie.
Then everything changed when my brother was murdered, and I found myself needing to prove to my father I was more than capable of finishing what Cord started.
When I'm sent to a meeting for alphas and their heirs, I quickly learn things are way worse than I ever thought. Especially when a cocky shifter forces his way into my life, making me second guess everything I ever believed.
If I can't figure out who to let in and who to keep at bay, I could not only be risking my heart, but the people I love most in the world.
I've already lost my brother, and I'll be damned if anyone else dies on my watch.

"Well...that was an unexpected turn of events "
This is soooo funny! I legit had to pause at points to laugh. Taya (the MC) is awesome. I love that her BFF is a dude, Augie and it's not romantic for either of them. Love Liam and Caleb. I really enjoyed this story. Think it's my favorite of Heather's so far. Will definitely be continuing the series.

Shades of Fury
This is my first Heather Renee book and it definitely will not be my last. Shades of Fury is the first book in the Raven Point Pack series and it tells the story of a young female werewolf, Taya who suddenly finds herself in a position of power. A position she inherited when her twin brother was murdered and her father was placed in a magical induced coma.
Prior to his death her brother had discovered some disturbing information. Taya now finds herself on a mission, along with her best friend Auggie, to investigate her brother’s findings, locate the person responsible for his murder and a witch who could remove the spell from her father.
This fast -paced story had me hooked, and I found myself completely immersed in the story. I didn’t want to stop listening.
I loved the characters. Taya is strong, determined and a no-nonsense female shifter. I loved how she stepped up to the challenge when she suddenly found herself thrust in a position of leadership.
Initially, I thought her friendship with Auggie would become something more. However, as the story developed it was evident their feelings would go no further than being good friends. I enjoyed their banter and loved how they could be real with each other.
There was a hint of romance. What I found interesting was Taya’s initial resistance to Liam. His cockiness did not impress her, even though her wolf recognized him as her mate, and who could blame her. Eventually, he mellowed out, and she found herself drawn to him. The romance was served as a side dish to the intrigue.
At the end of the installment, the incidents that occurred at the start of the story were yet to be resolved. I already have book 2 lined up so I hope to get my answers soon.
Narration
Kasi Hollowell did a great job with the narration. It is my first time listening to her, and I liked her voice. She did a great job in bringing out the characters’ personalities. I look forward to listening to more of her work.
Conclusion/Recommendation
Overall, this was a good start to the series. I enjoyed the humour, action and the characters. I would recommend this book to fans of urban fant

Shades of fury
This books follows the story of a wolf shape shifter and her pack. Taya is the alphas daughter and the story follows her and the events that happen around her. This book is the first in the series and a lot happens in this first book, it ends leaving you knowing there is more to come so may want to get the next book ready to find out what happens next. The narration and the story is good and I enjoyed listening to it.

Taya, you go girl !
Taya is an assertive, independent kind of girl, which gives her the strength of character to step into the alpha in waiting rolr that was her brother's role.
I really like the personalities of the triplets. Rafe and Declan need a bit more credibility for me to see them as a threat, but maybe that's because this aint their rodeo. Enter the sorceress... About the narration - The male voices are fine.

Shifters and suspenseful action!!
This story will keep you guessing at what will happen next! This is the first book in the series and I can’t wait for the next. This story has a kickass heroine as the main character. I absolutely loved this story! It is very well written and narrated.
The narrator does a wonderful job with the characters and voices of each, so that you can definitely tell whom is speaking. She has a very charisma attic voice that will keep you enthralled. I definitely recommend this book!

Suspenseful & Action Packed Start
This was an incredible start to a new series! Humans are disappearing and Cord, the alpha’s son, realizes that a rival pack is responsible. Their father is in a coma, Cord is murdered, and now Taya, his twin sister, has to take his place as the future alpha with her best friend, Augie, as beta. She’s out to avenge her brother’s death, find justice for the missing humans, and find help for her father, but pursuing the rival pack and murderer puts more of the ones she loves in danger. I loved Taya’s fierce, strong, and snarky personality and how Augie keeps her grounded and safe. Liam and Taya obviously have undeniable chemistry, but both of them are trying to fight it. I liked that this book focused more on the story than romance and it was filled with action, loyalty, and many twists and turns. This book had me on the edge of my seat and left me wanting more!
Kasi did an amazing job with this narration! She put so much emotion into her performance and brought every aspect and character of this story to life. Her voice drew me in from the start of her performance and I loved the different voices she gave each character.

A great start
This begins with Taya dealing with the death of her twin & having to setup into his role as the next alpha. While dealing with alpha training further tragedy strikes Taya. Now she doesn't know who to trust & what her growing attraction to Liam really means. This is a great start to this series. I wish there was a little more action but was a good easy listen & really enjoyed the narrator.

Fan-flippin-tastic!!!
Well dang, I'm in an emotional tail spin from what went down in those final chapters. Like I don't even know how to process that. I'm stuck in this like dream state and its like I just woke up and have no clue what is going on.
I’m kinda freaking out.
I’m soo totally blaming Heather for my inability to put my book down and sleep last night, there's a good thing there's such a thing as coffee. So no one better get in my way lol.
This world was truly very well constructed, I easily fell into it and loved how the storyline developed and unfolded. It was a slower development but honestly it didn't bother me in the slightest because I felt the information I was being told and learning the characters just felt right, so I never really stopped to think about that fact.
I really loved all the characters in this book and loved seeing the pack bonds (this is always my favourite part in shifter stories) and as new characters were introduced. Totally fell for our charming, arrogant Liam (I don't know what it is but I always love the jerks - don't know what that says about me tho lol) I just love watching as a deeper side is shown and this happens fairly quickly with Liam he is overbearing and protective almost instantly but you can tell that he is automatically intrigued by Taya the girl that doesn't let anyone tell her what to do.
"Liam was annoyed Augie hadn’t gotten him before letting me go outside. Overbearing brute. He was going to learn quickly that nobody let me do anything."
The nickname Caleb (one of Liam's triplet brothers) Firecracker was so very fitting for her spunky, firey personality and it definitely make me chuckle.
“What’s with the Firecracker nickname?” I asked, probably not wanting to know, but curiosity got the best of me.
“Your hair.” He reached out his fingers and brought it toward him. “There’s red woven in the brown. Plus, the name fits your attitude.”
Seems like Caleb agrees with my thoughts too and although Liam never called her that he totally agrees she's bossy but well what did you expect from an Alpha's daughter?
"Liam’s chest let out a rumble. “You’re very bossy. My wolf isn’t sure what to do when you challenge us.”
I laughed. “Tell your wolf to either deal with it or walk away. I won’t be tamed.”
Liam’s heated gaze leveled on me. He took a step closer to me and brought his lips to mine, kissing me senseless. “We’ll work it out, don’t you worry,” he mumbled as he backed away."
I loved the bond and tight friendships that were made throughout this book and the ones that existed pre book (man I love Augie and her friendship he's a friend that everyone wants). They felt so real and hence to me extremely well crafted. The new friendships were made in a way that just made sense. They were slow to build but also quick enough that you saw the naturalness of these friendships. It's the kind that you know were just meant to be.
I am extremely intrigued to know where the next book will lead lets just hope I don't freak out too much coz these guys feel like family to me too. (weird but true - that's when you know a book has been done well).
Thank you so much Heather for this incredible start to your series. I can't wait to read more.
PS guys the Audible narration by Kasi is fan-flippin-tastic you’ll love it!
