Publisher's summary

The only audiobook you need to start a conversation with your kids about sexual harassment, consent, #metoo, and more.

Many American teens are steeped in a culture that sends unsettling messages about sex, through everything from politics to music to the normalization of porn. In today's environment, it's crucial that teens be able to ask hard questions about how to take care of themselves, make decisions that reflect their values, and stay safe.

In Sex, Teens, and Everything in Between, veteran teen-sex educator and mother of three Shafia Zaloom helps you discuss a wide variety of sex-related topics with your teens, including how to get and give consent; what it means to have "good" sex; how to help prevent sexual harassment and assault; how to stay safe in difficult situations; the legal consequences of sexual harassment and assault, what to do if a teen experiences assault or is accused of it; and stories from survivors of sexual assault.

Approachable, engaging, and with real-life scenarios and discussion questions in every chapter, Sex, Teens, and Everything in Between is a must-have resource that gives parents and educators the tools they need to have meaningful conversations with teens about what sex can and should be.

A must read for parents.

This education should be encouraged in early high school for all kids.
I love her point of view and evidence on porn and the analogy of sex education via porn is “like learning to drive by watching The Fast and the Furious”

This book is very useful to use with adults and teenagers. I like before having the talk.

This book was very informative. I’m glad I had it in my library. I’m going to use it with my kids one day.

Therefore, this book will make having to talk a lot easier with my kids especially when they have questions. This book was also informative to me because my dad never had the talk with me.

Additionally, the therapist is right who narrates this book. It is difficult for parents to have the talk with her kids because they do not want to make it socially awkward or uncomfortable for their teenagers and young adults.

This book also helps me feel more comfortable about sex because I have never done it before. And now I am a little more confident because I know what I’ll be doing.

So parents, my last forever raise for you. Don’t be afraid to have the conversation with your kids around practicing safe relationships and having happy and healthy relations with their first real boyfriend or girlfriend that they really care about because it’ll make them feel more comfortable about the whole situation .
