Publisher's summary

The day Sadie Thompson finds her high school student, Lexie, asleep in class and can't wake her is the day she realizes how entrenched a prescription drug ring is in her school. As Sadie is pulled into doing something about the growing problem, she becomes involved with Ethan Stone - a Texas Ranger who suspects the drug ring reaches far beyond the high school. Helping Lexie recover from the overdose, Sadie feels she is making a difference - until the 16-year-old's best friend dies from the apparent mixing of various prescription drugs. Lexie doesn't think her friend took her own life, but her relationship with her uncle, Ethan, is precarious, and she doesn't know if either he or Sadie will help her discover the truth.

Death in a small town

Texas Ranger Ethan Stone and his best friend the Chief of Police investigate the death of a popular and high profile student. At first it appears that the death was either an unfortunate accident or suicide but it soon becomes apparent that they are dealing with murder. More deaths occur and even Ethan's own niece Lexie is targeted as well as her best friend.

As the danger closes in and it appears that their small town has an underground prescription drug ring operating he finds himself drawn to his best friend's sister school teacher Sadie Thompson.

If Ethan can't discover the truth behind the mysterious deaths in his home town then he risks losing those close to him including the woman he is falling for.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this sweet Christian Romantic Suspense.

Enjoyable series

I really enjoyed the whole series. The only thing I would have changed would be the narration - unfortunately all of the male characters sounded like children. It was kind of distracting. Good clean stories with non-preachy religion thrown in. Nice.

Great read

Margaret Daley can reside on my bookshelf forever. This was a great balance of action and romance with a trace of whodunit mystery to keep you reading to the end. And did I say it was clean!?? Yes, wholesome language even when the bad guys were as bad as they come and no need for censure of sexual consent. Such a relief!! I love it

BB

I love this author. I love this se,9ries. I think they're always good the only thing I don't like is the narrarrator, I don't know if she's doing it or she has someone else. that voice is very hard to listen to. I would like to compliment the AUTHOR for not using any foul language and not afraid to give God credit. I love that in your writing. You don't see that very often. None of it makes the book any better. Thank you for keeping your books clean. It was a Great book. Very suspenseful and gripping from beginning to end. I know Margaret Daly will never see this post but I highly recommend this book.

Deaths in school

As good as the rest in the series . Somewhat more suspenseful due to a more complex storyline.

Not a sweet story

It is Christian based, has romance but most of the story is detective work due to tragedy and illegal activity. Interesting story but not an easy one.

Great series!

Good character development as the story progresses, with a surprise ending!! I appreciate a plot that is able to move at a good pace, and also weave in a faith story without feeling pushy.

Another great story!!

"Severed Trust " is an exciting thriller . More importantly, it focuses on a very real threat to today's society.... drugs. Margaret Dailey brings truth to light in an exciting way, she never disappoints. Carly Robin does a brilliant job of narration as well. I highly recommend listening to this story and the others in this well-written series.
