About this listen

I know seven dirty secrets: One caused the fall. One did nothing. One saw it all. One didn't care. One used their head. One played the hero. One was left for dead.

On her 18th birthday, Cleo receives a mysterious invitation to a scavenger hunt. She's sure her best friend, Hope, or her brother, Connor, is behind it, but no one confesses. And as Cleo and Hope embark on the hunt, the seemingly random locations and clues begin to feel familiar. In fact, all of the clues seem to be about Cleo's dead boyfriend, Declan, who drowned on a group rafting trip exactly a year ago: a bracelet she bought him, a song he loved, a photo of the rafting group, taken just before Declan drowned.

And then the phone calls start, Declan's voice taunting Cleo with a cryptic question: You ready? As the clock on the scavenger hunt ticks down, it becomes clear that someone knows what really happened to Declan. And that person will stop at nothing to make sure Cleo and her friends pay. Can they solve the hunt before someone else winds up dead?

The narrator did an amazing job making it easy to feel each of the characters emotions. I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook!

Thrilling!

The plot in this young adult mystery thriller was very good with some nice twists. I thought the reader was okay. It concluded well.

Good YA mystery thriller

I really liked this book. I didn’t realize till the end who it was. I will be listening to other works by this author.

Fantastic

I finished the story on one vacation afternoon, just because I had nothing better to do, but the story is kinda typical “I know what you did last summer” with nothing new. It was nicely written as well, but the story lacked novelty.

Audio Nicely performed…but that’s about it

I def didn’t see the plot twist coming or the confessions! I did love the hunt for clues

Now that is interesting

I couldn’t stop listening. The narrator was extraordinary. She did an amazing job sucking me in and I love her voice.... She did an amazing job on pacing (I can’t stand it when narrators drag or go too fast or monotone on thrillers) and I found her voice extremely soothing (love that!) intimate, likable, distinctive (made for a much more interesting listen) vulnerable and yet strong, all of which was perfect for the story. Which I loved. Can’t wait for more books from this author, and I hope she gets the same narrator! Thank you!

Spell-binding story, and brilliant narration!

Not her best but still an entertaining read albeit predictable. Cleo’s surprise scavenger hunt turns out to be a nightmare from the past.

This book was amazing

Good for teens. Storyline is juvenile but age appropriate for mystery. Last few chapters were interesting. Narrator in audiobook had a horrible impression of the male characters. Made the Audible cringy but not in a good way.

It was alright. An easy listen. The reader tries to do male voices, and it is awful so heads up on that.

It was alright
