Cursed by the god who shares his name, Seti was an Egyptian king who lost everything: his name, his kingdom, even the man he loved more than anything in the world. For centuries he's waited in a dusty, forgotten sarcophagus, until Logan came along.
Logan is a graduate student who stumbles upon Seti in the basement of a museum and accidentally awakens him. Logan figures any way he looks at it, a missing mummy is going to be bad for his career, so he takes Seti with him until he can decide what to do. He doesn't want to be accused to theft, but who's going to believe in a mummy coming back to life?
Seti and Logan have a lot more to worry about than the modern day police. There's a group of scientists that want Seti for more than decoration and a vengeful god with an agenda to get Seti gone once and for all. Logan has to deal with all of that, but his biggest problem might just be Seti himself, who's trying hard to get into Logan's pants and his heart.

Would you consider the audio edition of Seti's Heart to be better than the print version?
I think so... I loved the narration. Logan's friends are all very fun and lively - you got a real sense of personality. The narrator also does a great job with the villains and he brings out a lot of humor in the main characters... He embraces the somewhat goofy aspects of this mythological adventure and brings out the playfulness. It's a great listen. What did you like best about this story?
I actually though the sexual dynamic between Logan and Seti was really great.... I loved that it changed and it really charted character development. I think that is something that isn't explored a lot in m/m romance... and I enjoyed it. I think the book has some great steamy material, but the humor in the book and the character of Logan were my favorite. What does Joel Leslie bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He has a really vibrant theatrical approach to narration... it might not be everyone's cup of tea (if you like a kind of removed detached reader) but I thought it really brought it to life. He has strong comic timing and that really played well in some of the sequences - particularly where if the material had been taken too seriously it probably would have verged on silly. Instead he embraced the Indiana Jones/The Mummy campiness of some of the scenes and I thought it really was great.Who was the most memorable character of Seti's Heart and why?
Logan - he's a really likable hero.One hot mummy.

You definitely have to suspend some belief in this story, but I loved the ride anyway. It’s such a unique storyline, yet is not overly angsty (which I’m not a fan of). It’s really an entertaining read and one that I turn on when I want to re-live a great adventure.
Love this book!

I honestly think I kept putting off listening to this book because I find the cover so blah. I’ve now learned exactly why they say “don’t judge a book by it’s cover! This book is a gem! The story kept my interest. It had lots of humor and great sexy times. I adored both Seti and Logan. But Osiris, OMG. That God had me in stitches! Balloon artist extraordinaire! 😂😂😂😂 And gatorboy!
I had never read anything my Kiernan Kelly either. I plan to read more from her.
If, like me, the cover makes you think it might be blah, just remember it’s Joel Leslie. You’re always guaranteed a fantabulous performance by him. That being said, I think I’d like this book almost as much if I read it myself. Though if I did, my brain would translate it to Joel’s voice anyway. I would love it if this story had a sequel, but the HEA didn’t lead me to believe there would be one. It felt complete. I just don’t want to be finished with Logan and Seti.
This is definitely going into my re-listen folder!

Contemporary paranormal M-M romance. Mythology.
Seti was cursed by five thousand years by a god with the same name. He was an Egyptian King and he’s been enclosed in a sarcophagus and stored in the basement of a museum for years and years. Logan was recently assigned as an assistant to a director at the museum and finds the hidden sarcophagus. He accidentally breaks it open and Seti is now awake and aware. Logan and Seti head to Logan’s apartment and are followed by crazed scientists that want Seti’s blood and aren’t letting anyone get in their way.
Logan and Seti grow closer as they evade and escape. Falling in love is easy, even when being cursed by a god.
🎧 I listened to this story via audiobook narrated by Joel Leslie. The performance is highly amusing with distinct voices for the characters and clear emotions in the playback.
A museum job gone wrong. Think of the movie, and add an M-M romance, a bit of humor, some bad guys and an HEA.
Entertaining.
I’ve never seen things come to life in any New York museum. I can’t decide if that’s a good thing or sad situation.
