Publisher's summary

A new stand-alone fake-relationship romance set in the world of the Wrights from USA Today best-selling author K.A. Linde....

I never thought I’d say yes to a fake date.

Let alone with Julian Wright.

But I’m stuck attending my perfect brother’s doctoral graduation, and I can’t suffer through another round of parental disappointment. Julian has to go to a charity function he planned with his ex-girlfriend. We both need a date.

Yes, we shared one kiss in a darkened office to make his ex jealous. But it wasn’t real. Was it?

I’m sure I can get through this. Until we get to the house and there’s only one bed.

I’ve pined for Julian for three long years. More than my body is on the line.... I need to guard my heart.

Because if I get hurt in our fake relationship, then it serves me Wright.

Love the Wright family

I have definitely been listening to these books out of order but that does not take away from the overall enjoyment of each store. The Wright family has many siblings that all share a close knit relationship so there is a lot of character overlap between the books.

❤️ FAKE ~ FOREVER THE WRIGHT WAY ❤️

This is a nice addition to the well-loved Wright clan and KAL didn’t disappoint with opposites Julian and Jennifer’s journey to their happily ever after. Jennifer has fantasized about crush Julian for many years but she’s always ‘friend-zoned’ herself because of her social insecurities, lack of confidence and low self-esteem.. surely brought about by her Mother’s constant negativity and critiquing. They’d had a brief kiss once but the timing wasn’t right then.. and now Julian doesn’t think she’s interested and anyway he shouldn’t be dating anyone with a toxic ex who’s still clinging on despite the disruption she caused in the previous book. However, through fake-dates, their chemistry Hassan chance to flare and everything changes the more time they spend together.. and then this sweet couple begin to realize there’s absolutely nothing fake about their feelings. It’s not all plain sailing though with a hateful ex stirring-up trouble.. but Jennifer finally learns how to fight for what she wants with some impressive character growth.

Worth a credit? Yes a warm Wright friend-to-lovers fake-to-forever romance that has great family dynamics, fun, charm, sizzles and swoons. The dual POV narration by Erin and Teddy was perfect and it was a joy hearing this latest Wright book come to life thanks to their awesome narration.

Pure small town magic!

I got into this series super late in the game. I can vouch they are true stand-alone a. After reading Jordan and Annie’s story. I knew I needed to know about Julian and Jennifer’s story.

There is pure charm and flirt from Julian. He is just an all around good guy. But like good guys do they make dumb decisions and get taken advantage of.

Jennifer is the perfect compliment to him. She sees him for who he is and is so purely good that she would never take advantage of him. She has her own inner demons with anxiety. As a person that also suffers from anxiety I appreciate authors that take the time to show characters with mental illness.

This book was a 4 star and then at the end became a 4.5. All because of the amazing speech about being who you are and loving who you love by Jennifer’s brother Chester near the end. None of that had to be put into the book. But being a Blue Texan in a red state it felt very powerful and so true hearing it. I applaud KA Linde for choosing to speak her truth and to not take the easy out on her stories. I loved that speech. I think I may have cheered a bit.

I love these books being low angst, fun and having this underlying lessons.

A charming fake dating story with remarkable and enjoyable narration!

LOVE LOVE this book from the characters to the plot line! I am once again falling in love with the Wright cousins! It starts out as fake dating but has other twists you won’t expect! It’s simply a well written story that is engaging, charming, and an easy page turner!

I have loved Jennifer and Julian since he fell on her in a pool 3 years ago earlier in the Wright series. Now, they finally they get their chance at love through fake dating! It couldn’t have been a more perfect story for them as it’s one of my favorite troupes! But there was a twist…each of them thought they had a 1 sided crush!

“I’d pushed her to date me but she’d never really been interested. My filtering was relentless and still it was hard to know what she was thinking.”

“Now he was trying to convince me to fake date him. Julian Wright the man I’d been pining after for years, why wouldn’t I say yes.”

Jennifer is such a relatable character for me which is why I loved her even more! She’s a normal woman who deals with medicated anxiety. She has bad social anxiety, doesn’t feel like she fits in and her anxiety gets in the way in certain situations. It was so refreshing to see a mental health issue in a character which is something that myself and so many other woman deal with!

The audible narration of this book was on point!! Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton did an incredible job telling Julian and Jennifer’s story!! They both do so well at making you feel the emotions of the characters through their voices! From anger to passion to excitement, they projected the perfect tone for every line!
