Loved this!

I truly enjoyed this book via audio!!! It was wonderfully written and narrated! I normally don't enjoy when a female does the male voice but it wasn't bad! I actually truly enjoyed how Eliza spoke for Jason!

Now down to the nitty-gritty of my review. There will be some spoilers. I did not really like Lucy at all! She was a tad whiny and never took into consideration things with Jason. Like I understand some things being new and still sticking with ur bestie but she was so selfish when it came to that night just like Amy said!! Like that drove me insane!! It took something bad almost happening to him for her to finally pull her head outta her butt! It drove me up a wall!!

The story overall was truly fantastic and can't wait to listen to book 2!!!

Phenomenal

April Berry is a new author to me, this book is the first for me to experience. I am so glad I was able to enjoy in this story! Had me tearing up several times along with laughing. A book I will be enjoying over and over.

Good story and narrator

First time ive listened to both narrator and author. I enjoyed the story line, and the characters in the story.

so every thought i had was voice by the characters which i like alot. ilove that the friend and family had the female MC back but still let her know her if something isnt right and that luce was able to recognize what they are telling after the conversation and grow as a person. i appreciate that jason knew what he need to do in the beginning ( thats all im says so no spoilers) . i will be adding this book to my playlist to get me out of slump. i want to know so much more about her friend jaz. The narrator did aa great job at bring these character to life. This 18+check triggers.

Good Read

I enjoyed this book. All the characters were relatable and realistic. The issue that April touched on it a real life issue that are hardly spoken about. So extra kudos to her for bringing awareness and showing that when one person stands up, the others who were alto afraid can gain courage to stand up as well.

The narrator for the audible of this story did a good job. I would’ve enjoyed hearing a man actually read Jason’s part, but she still did a great job of reading him and Lucy.

I loved how April showed Jason’s sensitivity and vulnerability and showed that it’s okay for men to be vulnerable. His love and support for Lucy was perfect. I loved that Lucy, with the help of her best friend, found the courage to step up and speak out about what happened to her. I loved how she was finally able to realize her flaws and work on fixing them and learning that in a relationship she couldn’t just keep taking without giving. I wish that Jason would’ve been the one to tell Lucy his history about his ex instead of her sister-in-law.

This is the first time I have read a book by April and I will be reading more.

A great beginning

I loved how the author brought to light how women should act in order to report abuse as soon as possible. Aside from that the overall story was very well written, and I can not wait to listen to the next book.

I feel this narrator was a perfect match for the characters of this story. The story was such a sweet story of finding love and one’s self with a little steam added in. This book was a good read!

Highly recommend this great read

My wife read this and suggested for me to listen to the audiobook. I listened to whole thing on a road trip. Really enjoyable and engaging. Lucy’s confidence was awesome and Jason is a very relatable and caring guy. The narrator really got into the characters and used great accents to match the place and made it easy to know which characters were talking.

Amazing work!!!

April this is another amazing book, and Eliza just made the book even better!!!! This story is one that hits a little close to home for me, but it’s so well written that I just felt the emotions right along with the FMC!

This book drew me in and kept my attention all the way thru! This book addresses friendships, love, spicy acts and a difficult topic. I really felt the characters chemistry like they were my own friends! Can’t wait to listen to book 2!
