Publisher's summary

Jonathon Hunter is a long way from home and intent on getting back to track down his unknown adversary. But local problems intrude - an annoyance becomes a real threat. Trading one war for another wasn't in his game plan, but you do what has to be done to keep others alive. Jonathon isn't playing one of his computer games any more, and the save button only works by putting your life on the line.

When the odds are stacked against you, there is only one thing left to do. Send in the Hero.

I’ve finally figured it out

After my first review you might think I didn’t continue in the series, but you’d be wrong. For some reason I like the writing style and story, but it makes no sense. The kid is 18 and in two months time he’s amassed several fortunes, built several of the most powerful ships in space, acquired many fleets of ships, a station, and promoted to a flag officer position of several nations militaries. He’s also completed all of his certifications and become the premier tactician. Add that the entire universe is composed of fantastic technologies that no one else has figured out beyond the barest basic use besides him and I come to one of two conclusions. Either a mass dumbing of the species has occurred or he’s actually a player in a video game. Do yourself a favor, assume one of these and enjoy the story.
