Publisher's summary

New York Times best seller

There are no rules in the dark, no place to feel safe, no escape from the shadows. But to save the day, you must seize the night.

At no time does Moonlight Bay look more beautiful than at night. Yet it is precisely then that the secluded little town reveals its menace. Now children are disappearing. From their homes. From the streets. And there’s nothing their families can do about it. Because in Moonlight Bay, the police work their hardest to conceal crimes and silence victims. No matter what happens in the night, their job is to ensure that nothing disturbs the peace and quiet of Moonlight Bay.

Christopher Snow isn’t afraid of the dark. Forced to live in the shadows because of a rare genetic disorder, he knows the night world better than anyone. He believes the lost children are still alive and that their disappearance is connected to the town’s most carefully kept, most ominous secret - a secret only he can uncover, a secret that will force him to confront an adversary at one with the most dangerous darkness of all: the darkness inside the human heart.

An excellent ending

After reading Fear Nothing I waited for more about Christopher Snow. Found this many years later. It is a satisfactory end to the saga but I wish there would be more to the narrative. Science fiction at its best.

Give us more in this series!

Please give us more in the series. It is absolutely fantastic.
This part two of the Moonlight Bay series is just as good as the first one. The story is riveting, and the characters are well written, and you fall in love with them.

I’m getting old!

I read the two Christopher Snow books many years ago and annoyed them both a lot. While I still enjoyed this audiobook, I found it hard to follow when it came down to the “science”. Doesn’t matter. I still think Koontz is a better writer than King. Unfortunately I gave up on another sequel with Tornado Alley.

Slow beginning, GREAT NONE THE LESS!!! 😊👌

Carpe Norte! ✊
Although the book crept into some Pre-Action even. The Pre-Action and Climax of it all actually; leaves you greatful that you listened from beginning to end.

30 second skip function is your friend with this

Overall a nice big picture story. Narration (especially coupled with the first book in the series) grows on you. Not as preachy as Koontz' later works, though his tendency to interrupt the momentum of the story with the main character's life philosophy, ramblings, "humor" and weird sidesteps into irrelevant detail make 30 second skips a handy tool.
