Publisher's Summary

Ever since her first ghostly sighting, Abby Kimball has been trying to unravel the mystery of her newly discovered ability. So when she sees the apparition of a Revolutionary War soldier in the middle of the town green - just days before the annual Patriot's Day celebration, no less - she's determined to figure out her connection to the man. The ethereal soldier is not the only mystery in Abby's life. She's also trying to sort out her connection to Ned Newhall, the man who shares her ability and is playing a more serious romantic role in her life every day. But with plans for the celebration ramping up and her job becoming more chaotic by the minute, Abby's finding it hard to catch her breath, much less come to grips with all the new turns her life has taken. And when another eerie episode is followed by the appearance of a very curious young girl who seems wise beyond her years, Abby discovers she and Ned may have only scratched the surface of their special ability, and that Ned may hold the biggest surprise yet.

Depressing

Performance is great but jeez I just was to slap the main character. She needs professional help.

Always enjoyable

Ms Connolly has a unique talent for writing interesting books. I like the characters she describes. Some, like Brad, you want to shake and tell to grow up 😉. Not sure author will continue this series, it could really be interesting

love the ghost story, with the mystery.

No problems reading the book. The book keeps you in the mystery of the family and where she fits in. With that little bit of romance.

Never Saw This Coming

Would you try another book from Sheila Connolly and/or Emily Durante?

Yes I do read other books by Shelia.

What could Sheila Connolly have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Change her topic

How did the narrator detract from the book?

She was reading like a robot reading a Social Science book.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Seeing the Dead?

I would scrape this and write another cozy mystery.

Any additional comments?

I should have read more before selecting this book.

The genealogy aspect is great also.

The story drug out a little in the beginning and she had a couple episodes of whining and being a brat. But suddenly she started acting like a mature, educated 25 year old woman, reacting appropriately. Turned out to be a very good book.
