One night stands are something that can end up changing your life. With some ingenuity, Allison Gatta has written a short romance for Antone and Tess, full of fun banter, lots of passion and a stubborn streak to protect the child they are having. At first I thought it was going to be a story similar to The Princess Diaries, making Tess into the perfect woman to help Antone rule his country. While there is a thread of truth in this, there is so much more. Gatta has shown us a relationship of compromise. I really enjoyed the exchanges between Antone and Tess, and loved watching them get to know each other. This is a fun fairytale type of story that kept me engaged and wanting more of their lives. It's a fun listen and has me grabbing book two for the next part of the Royal family's journey!

I have listened to several books narrated by Audra Cook, and I thoroughly enjoy her performances. She has a very pleasing tone to her voices and I love that she is able to differentiate between male and female characters easily. She made this listen go quick!
