I tend to soak up anything by this writer. His gritty description of street life is eerily accurate. Love his books!

The narrator was HORRIBLE! She stumbled on words, took long awkward pauses. My 10 year old could do better. I’ll just skip this book in the series as I can’t finish the book :(

4 stars overall only because the narrator wasn’t the best and the transition music between chapters was MAD CHEESY! I hope the other books don’t include that God awful transition music.

This novel set the foundation and plot for further novels. The narrative was excellent as usual for a K wan novel

I love the series, and the book was great. I don’t like the narrator. She reads too fast and slow all at the same time.
