Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers features a group of fun, flirty, and emotional friends who gather each summer at their Cape Cod cottages. They're sassy, flawed, and so easy to relate to, you'll be begging to enter their circle of friends!

Secrets at Seaside by Addison Cole is the sweet edition of New York Times best-selling author Melissa Foster's steamy romance novel, Seaside Secrets. The stories and characters remain the same and convey all of the passion you expect between two people in love, without any explicit scenes or harsh language.

In Secrets at Seaside....

He's got his choice of women, but Amy Maples is the one he wants. Fourteen years ago, she was his for an entire summer, until a devastating accident changed everything, and what they had seemed like it had never existed - at least for her.

Amy Maples is as consistent as the day is long. She's spent summers on Cape Cod forever, she always does the right thing, and she's spent years trying to reclaim the heart of Tony Black, the only man she's ever loved. She's back for a summer of fun with her friends at Seaside, only this year she's been offered the opportunity of a lifetime thousands of miles away, and she's decided to try one last time to reconnect with Tony. Secrets at Seaside - Another Fantastic Audio Book!

Audio book review - Secrets at Seaside by Addison Cole - Secrets at Seaside was another GREAT addition to the Sweet with Heat Books by Addison Cole. It tells us the love story of Tony and Amy. Amy has been in love with Tony for what seems like forever, but has never been able to win his attention. Come to find out, there is more to their long time friendship than any of us were even aware of! Their history is one that will tug at your heart strings, and have you rooting them on the entire time you're reading.

Addison Cole is a fantastic author. She makes the characters people that you can relate to in some way. Melissa Moran is also just an all around fantastic narrator. She does each character justice and gives them depth and personality throughout the book.

Tony and Amy both have their secrets (like we all do) and the story tells of their struggles with their demons individually, and finally trying to decide if it is worth it to face them head on, together. A lot of us are afraid to tell others about things we have been through, and we aren't willing to put our pride aside to ask for help. This story displays that type of situation perfectly, from start to finish.

I won't give you an entire description of the book, you can get those above or in other reviews. ;) Addison Cole is definitely an author whose books I don't need to read the description of, I am now on auto-buy. Hope you enjoy this book as well!

Tony and Amy

Tony and Amy – my favorite in the Seaside series. Hearing the story in a different voice than the one in my head made it even better. Melissa Moran does a wonderful job voicing the characters. Having listened to the prior books in the series, I enjoyed the consistency with growth. My review of the book follows:

Emotional Impact!

Amy Maples has secretly loved Tony Black since she was six years old. Their families, along with several others, spent summers in a cottage neighborhood at Seaside, where the sun and surf lead to lifelong friendships and more. Along the way, Amy and Tony found each other, but life-changing secrets tore them apart. Skip ahead fourteen years, and the group is back together for a wedding. Amy and Tony still have amazing chemistry and their friends don’t understand why these two aren’t together. As the story unfolds, we learn the strengths and vulnerabilities of both Amy and Tony, and discover the amazing endurance of their connection, along with their secrets!

Addison Cole has made me laugh, cry, and care about characters in a book. Secrets at Seaside is a wonderful journey! Emotional and awesome – it’s my favorite in this series.

Finally!!!

I have been waiting on Amy's story since the first book. She is so sweet and innocent but i knew there had to be more to her story when it came to Tony. With the way Tony is always there for her, i knew he loved her but i had no idea of the heart break. This book was fantastic and will break you heart a little. It made me love Tony and Amy all the more.

Love!

*UPDATED*

Another winner for Ms. Cole and Mr. Moran. I not only loved the story (read review below), but I also love the different ‘feel’ the narrator gives the stories. It’s not simply the ‘same’ voice, she gives it a little extra something that really adds to the words Ms. Cole gave us, and makes it a unique story.

I really recommend this one, for us audio lovers. <3

*Thank you to the author for providing a copy for which I’m giving my honest opinion*

*************************************************

This was a lovely read.

Much like the rest of the series so far, this book has the perfect blend of romance, some drama, friendship and personal growth for these characters.

This time we learn more about Tony and Amy. I loved these two, they seemed so different (him super cool, and her more put together); but they ended up being perfect for each other. I love how they bring the best from the other: both the serious and the playful parts.

It was also fun to watch them dance around each other for years, lol. Oh boy, they never stood a chance. ;-)

This was a great read, with two endearing characters. I can’t wait to keep reading this series.

*Thank you to the author for providing an ARC in exchange of my honest opinion*

Secrets at Seaside

Amy Maples has loved Tony Black since they were kids. She is tired of waiting for him to see her and make a move. This summer, she's decided, is the final straw. She has a new potential job offer in Australia so if Tony won't open his eyes to what's in front of him, Amy is gone. But this declaration opens a lot of secrets from the past. Secrets that Amy hasn't even shared with her closest girlfriends Bella, Jenna, and Leanna. If Tony and her have any chance of starting something, they'll have to face what's between them in the past first.

I can't believe we've finally reached this point in the series. The point I've been waiting for since the beginning!

As per usual, Melissa Moran does a spectacular job narrating this series and these characters. I love the way she's perfected the sound of each character's voice. While I often feel like there's not enough variation in the male voices, I've always appreciated that she's stayed true to the main four: Amy, Jenna, Bella, and Leanna.

I honestly wasn't prepared for all the depth of history between Tony and Amy, but Addison Cole certainly knows how to make the heart-wrenching fit with the heart-melting aspects of their story. I started to suspect within the last couple of books that Amy's feelings for Tony went further than just some unrequited long-held crush and I was certainly right. However, I was blown away by all the revelations as many of them were certainly unexpected.

I love a good friends-to-lovers romance and Amy and Tony certainly fit that description, but their story goes beyond a simply being two friends who fall for each other. I loved digging deeper into the past at Seaside. Those summers when our familiar characters were growing up play a big part in Tony and Amy's story. Fittingly, the story focuses a lot on the past in order to move forward to the future. Not only for Tony and Amy, but the future of the series itself as the end of Secrets has now given readers all the initial main characters their own Happily Ever Afters at this point. It really felt like the closing of a chapter.

I'm really interested in seeing how things continue on from here as there have been some secondary characters added since the beginning. But mostly I'm just extremely satisfied with the exceptional story Addison Cole gave Amy and Tony. My most anticipated was definitely not a disappointment.

Mrs Amy Black??

Tony Black and Amy Maples have grown up spending their summers together at the Cape but once they hit adulthood, they each took their own path to begin their careers. Amy became a successful businesswoman and Tony, a world-renowned surfer and motivational speaker. The Seaside gang sees the chemistry between the two of them on full display each summer and how Tony takes care of Amy, in all the small ways but the two of them have never acted on their chemistry.

Except, Tony and Amy have a big secret that neither have shared with anyone. One that could change their friendships with the rest of the Seaside gang forever but could releasing the secret allow Tony and Amy to finally have the relationship they deserve? In addition to the secret holding them back could a job opportunity threaten a romantic relationship between them as well?

I found listening to Ms. Moran to be a very enjoyable experience and I was able to immerse myself in the lives of the Seaside gang.

The end of the novel may be my very favorite moment for the Seaside Gang thus far. You will not be disappointed in this latest installment of the Seaside gang from Ms. Cole.

Love this couple!!!

his audio book was a wonderful listen to book. Melissa Moran's reading of this book is great! You always know who is speaking, you also know when a character is thinking vs speaking. Through Melissa's reading, you experience the emotional roller coaster with Tony and Amy.
Tony and Amy have a past, a past that is very painful and one that they have tried to forget for the last 14 years. But Tony and Amy are still in love with each other and must decide whether or not they should take a 2nd chance on their love. Whether you are reading or listening to this book, do so with a box of tissue.

Another winner...

Secrets at Seaside is the fifth book in the Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers series. A group of friends meet at their Cape Cod cottages. They both want to reconnect, but Tony and Amy share a past that just might be too much to overcome. I really enjoyed this story and narrator. This author never fails to keep me reading longer than intended. I definitely recommend this book.

Definatly better a second time

Tony and Amy had a secret relationship with each other and when a even that rocked their world happens they split. Its been a while since then and they've had growing up to do and now they are trying to figure out how they feel about each other. Amy is feeling like shes been friend zone and honestly can't stand it any more. Now shes being offered a chance to work in Australia to further her career and is seriously considering it she doesn't know if this thing she has with Tony can continue. There is so much push and pull between the two and they've got things to work out before she ends up leaving.

I enjoyed this book so much I decided to do another reread as an audio book and I have to say it was even better a second time. Melissa Moran breathes so much life into these characters and makes it easy for the readers to just love the book and characters even more.

I loved how unique these characters were and how the past affected the people they were currently in the book. No matter how things went, no matter how hard both Amy tried to ignore the past things really couldn't go forward until she dealt with her issues. As much as I loved the push and pull it drove me nuts! I couldn't help but loved these characters and wanted them to stop this ridiculousness and finally be together. I loved seeing how both were able to support each others in different ways. I also loved the sense of close tied friendships that were going on and seeing the previous characters make themselves known and help support Amy when things were getting tough, being her rock and support and it was such a sweet thing to see. Overall great book I really loved it.
