Some mistakes can be forgiven. Some hearts can be won twice.

When Jane Bennet accepts Mr. Bingley's proposal, Elizabeth should be overjoyed. Instead, she's anxious—because Bingley's closest friend is returning to Netherfield, and Elizabeth has spent months regretting every harsh word she once said to Mr. Darcy.

But Darcy isn't coming alone. His sister Georgiana has taken it upon herself to plan an engagement ball, and she seems remarkably determined to seek Elizabeth's advice on every detail. As the preparations bring them together again and again, Elizabeth begins to hope that not all is lost.

With Georgiana's gentle mischief working behind the scenes and Caroline Bingley's schemes unraveling at every turn, Elizabeth and Darcy must navigate second chances, unspoken feelings, and the courage to hope for happiness after heartbreak.

This feels like an alternate ending to P&P that should have been 3 chapters instead of a a novella. The AI narration lacks performance in reading for different characters.

There were some story continuity issues from the original (which is supposedly unchanged other than the ending), which were distracting. For example, Georgiana is not “out” in P&P but in this story is apparently out socially in London very often. Colonel Forster is also back in Merriton for some reason, dispute the militia having left for Brighton, and he and his wife inviting Lydia, prompting the whole elopement debacle.

Short listen, and free, but hearing the word “ball” 1,000 times in 8 chapters was tough.

Cute, but lacking.
