Publisher's summary

“I live an ordinary life of solitude in London. Far away from home. My choice. This way, I can’t inflict further pain on anyone else.”—Dasia

How much would you sacrifice for someone you barely know? Would you still make that choice even if it meant your life may never be the same?

Dasia is haunted by the shadows of her past mistakes. Burdened by the shame of what she’s done, she works tirelessly to create an ordinary life in the bustling city of London and be just another face in the crowd. Her plan works...until it doesn’t. Every few weeks, she takes another temporary job in her attempt to keep a distance. Remain invisible. But this job is different.

Her boss is anything but ordinary. Sure, he’s crazy hot, but also the most annoying man she’s ever met. Who is he, and what is he up to? In the few short weeks she works there, she sees betrayal, job losses, and secret threats—most of which are aimed at an unsuspecting female executive. Dasia stands at a crossroads. Can she stand by and watch? She knows she can help. Will she take the risk to help someone she just met? With every decision and action, Dasia must ask herself: how much risk is too much? Is this her battle? And then there’s her heart. Can she help, remain anonymous, and guard her heart all at the same time?

This gripping story follows Dasia as she navigates choices, risks, forgiveness, trusting self and others, and unexpected love. Sometimes the only way to find out what lies ahead is to take a chance...and then another!

Absolutely loved this book!

Such an excellent story. It made me feel like I was in London right there with Dasia. Can’t wait for her next book.

Loved this book and the audiobook is outstanding!

I purchased the paperback of this book and loved it so much I had to get the audiobook too! The narration is one of the best I've listened to. It's an emotional story filled with drama, secrets, and suspense, and still puts a smile on your face at the end. It has a great workplace romance and is set in London. I loved the friendships, and the character-driven story is superb!

A Great Story

This is the first book I have read/listened to by this author and I finished it in one day. I liked the slow burn of the story and enjoyed the character development. The fact that the story took place in London and the narrators did a great job with the accents made it even more enjoyable. I recommend it highly.
