Buzzfeed’s Most Anticipated LGBTQ Romances of 2022

Miriam Blum has no choice but to face the past she thought she’d left behind when she inherits her great-aunt’s Christmas tree farm in this witty, glittering, heart-filled romcom with “all of the warm, queer, Jewish holiday vibes you could possibly want” (Jen DeLuca, USA Today bestselling author of Well Matched)

“A warm, cozy holiday romance . . . a vibrant exploration of embracing that which is most unexpected in life . . . and in love. Best read under the glow of rainbow twinkle lights with a cup of cocoa.”—Ashley Herring Blake, author of Delilah Green Doesn’t Care

Thanks to her thriving art career, Miriam Blum finally has her decoupaged glitter ducks in a row—until devastating news forces her to a very unwanted family reunion. Her beloved great-aunt Cass has passed and left Miriam part-owner of Carrigan’s, her (ironically) Jewish-run Christmas tree farm.

But Miriam’s plans to sit shiva, avoid her parents, then put Carrigan’s in her rearview mirror are spoiled when she learns the business is at risk of going under. To have any chance at turning things around, she’ll need to work with the farm’s grumpy manager—as long as the attraction sparking between them doesn’t set all their trees on fire first.

Noelle Northwood wants Miriam Blum gone—even if her ingenious ideas and sensitive soul keep showing Noelle there’s more to Cass’s niece than meets the eye. But saving Carrigan’s requires trust, love, and risking it all—for the chance to make their wildest dreams come true.

Amazing

A great, heart-warming story that has just enough drama to keep you engaged. I loved the inclusivity and levity of this beautiful queer little world

What a sweet story!

This was such a cute and addictive read! I ended up listening to the audiobook and the narrators fantastic! Miriam and Noelle meet when Miriam’s aunt Cass passes away and Miriam arrives for the funeral. Cass was an amazing character and I wish we’d gotten to meet her! I loved how Miriam, Noelle, and Miriam’s cousin Hannah join in to save Cass’ tree farm. Cass and Miriam’s affection was a little fast to me and I’d like to have seen more of it instead hearing of it, but otherwise I adored this whole book.
There were so many sweet moments between Miriam and Noelle, but they still seemed to challenge and really work on communicating with each other. The ending was so sweet and I kept hoping there will be another book in this world!

A good story

I usually read traditional romances, but this was recommended, so I ordered the audio version.

The book was very well-written, and the author was great at showing not telling emotions, especially on the part of the main characters. I liked Noelle and Miriam as well as the secondaries. I enjoyed hearing about little details about the town and Noelle and Miriam's lives.

By the time I got to the chapter about Miriam's father and her paintings, I was ready to stop reading. It was so sad that she had to hide everything she enjoyed from her father. I hated to think that there were people in the world like him. I'm glad I continued reading.

I would have liked to read more about Jewish holiday celebrations-- I always love reading about family traditions. Also, there was too much cussing.

On the whole, though, a good story.

Omg what a group of characters.

Story wise I absolutely loved it. The idea that of someone taking over a Christmas farm is delightful. The character growth, family secrets, and the passion for art really made me love this book.

Okay I’m sorry but what the heck was up with Noelle. The whole book I was waiting for her to redeem herself and I don’t think she did. I understand that she has flaws and trauma. I get it we all have issues. I didn’t think she deserved Miriam at all. I think Miriam did her best as a person and when she needed to setup up she did. I think Noelle was let off so easy and I was honestly upset she was forgiven so easily. UGH these characters are written so well if I’m so angry!
