Publisher's Summary

Six orphans, a dark and handsome cowboy, and the woman who must expand her heart to love them at Christmas.

Margaret Hutchins has been alone since her parents died of influenza in Chicago a decade earlier. When she moves to Cutter’s Creek in Montana Territory for a fresh start, as the new teacher for the little school, she discovers a cozy community where she’s welcomed and appreciated.

Heath Moore had his heart broken by Charlotte Beaufort years ago, and he’s hesitant to court again. Until, that is, he runs into Margaret just before Christmas - she’s beautiful, intelligent, and compassionate. But when she makes a decision that changes her life forever, it threatens to drive a wedge between them.

Enjoy spending a white Christmas in Cutter’s Creek, as a season of love unfolds in the most unlikely way.

Feel good holiday romance

I enjoyed this short tale about finding love unexpectedly. Margaret has a heart of gold that plays out in this story. Her love for kids was a testament to her character and opened the eyes of Heath. Heath is a down-to-earth young man that wants a family and a wife of his own. I love how this couple works together in the town's time of need. I recommend this book to those that love short sweet, clean romance. The narrator kept the voices separate and did a great job.

Heartwarming!

I really enjoyed this sweet romance story. It had such a great storyline. I loved how Margaret was selfless, Heath was so supportive, and it was nice to watch the children transition into having a sense of belonging and learning to trust. The author and narrator were both great! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Season of Love

Margaret is one determined lady, she knows all to well about being alone. When the 6 orphan children come to town and she realizes they have all been split up she takes it upon herself, when not one else will, to take the kids in. Some object in the town because she is single, but in the end she ends up with the kids. This story will really pull on your heart strings as her struggles and those of the children come about and the kindness of a sweet neighbor. Great job on the narration.

Six Orphans, Single Teacher and Lonely Rancher

The story begins with a husband and wife and their 6 children heading west in a wagon train. Sadly their mothers skirts are caught in a wagon wheel, she falls and is run over. It isn’t long before their father dies...a tragedy Im sure was not unusual. Margret is a single teacher with a desire for family and has a warm and open heart. Heath is a rancher, he was in a prior book, who didn’t win the girl and is a bit skittish...but likes Margaret. This a warm and sweet story of life when things were isolated and harder to live day to day, Margaret and Heaths, and the 6 children, become a family before they know it...an enjoyable story with a narrator who fits the western life... or the best female voice..he could try a little less to sound female and I think that would a thallus be better A good bargain for a sweet story. This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review

Alone No More

The cruelties of life have stripped her of a family; but can she take on the burden of the remnants of another family--of orphan children? Characters from previous novels reprise roles but any overlapping actions are fully explained, allowing this tale to stand on its own. Narrator Paul Curtis lends his talents to the characters as the new teacher struggles to make her way. Author Vivi Holt once more shows the exigencies of prairie travel and homesteading inflicting their hardships but human resiliance ultimately prevails.

In this one the female character is different and I really liked her. Like many of this authors stories this is just as good as her other books. Would recommend it to those who love sweet romance.

Enjoyable

This is such a wonderful story. Margaret is a woman who puts everyone and everything before herself. I loved how by just being herself the kids fell in love with her. So much love and compassion in this story.

Exceptional

A very sweet story of a teacher who takes in six orphans and the handsome rancher who helps out. Neither have an inkling for love. But that doesn't stop the heart. I received a complimentary audio and I am reviewing voluntarily.
