Loved it!

I honestly never thought a litrpg battle royal was feasible, more so that I would actually enjoy it ( Not a huge fan of those types of games). This was a terrific listen and the system is handled splendidly (Give me stat nuts please). I loved the announcer and the companions and the story was just a good time (Finished it in a day lol). The fact that the author himself narrated this is just a delightful bonus. I recommend this book to any litrpg fans and I hope you can join your stay on Happy Island as much as I did. Can't wait for book 2~

So the Man himself sent me a copy of this book. Really damn good. The references to MDP, the discord, and various movies and such are what kept me coming back. definitely waiting for book two. Great voice, as well. Sounds a bit like Marsters (the guy who reads the Dresden files series).

Fun, funny, light read.Interesting story premise. Who would have thought lit rpg and battle royal would mash do well together. Light on litrpg mechanics so you're not bogged down in stats and such. the mechanics were dun in a fun and unique way as well. Dialogue and overall events are well balanced. The interactions are organic and believable. The constant air of danger the characters face is wonderfully well done, gripping you from the get go and holding your attention to the very end. Starting with a completely blank character and fleshing them out as the story progresses normally doesnt work well but it was executed flawlessly here. This story is creative and well paced. It poses interesting questions about morality, what it takes to survive and humanity as a whole. Great, and at times dark, humor. So many easter eggs, references and inside jokes, it was fun to come across each one.
Good audio quality, background noise or pops in the audio. Good clear enunciation. Good vocal range, mimicry, and accent variety. At around 1:20:00 give or take theres a mis edit in clips but that was the only issue with the audio. Narrator has a wonderful mellow voice that is pleasant to listen to. No unnecessary sound effects or scene transitions noises which is always a plus. I look forward to seeing the next installment

Definitely a good litrpg book. The whole story doesn't really feel new but maybe the twists are coming in the next book.

Fun story that balances extremes well

This was a fun story. There was a lot of ridiculous characters, events and dialogue which were balanced well with serious goals and a few cups of angst. Overall it was very enjoyable
