In Seaside Dreams....

Bella Abbascia has returned to Seaside Cottages in Wellfleet, Massachusetts, as she does every summer. Only this year, Bella has more on her mind than sunbathing and skinny-dipping with her girlfriends. She's quit her job, put her house on the market, and sworn off relationships while she builds a new life in her favorite place on earth. That is, until good-time Bella's prank takes a bad turn and a sinfully sexy police officer appears on the scene.

Single father and police officer Caden Grant left Boston with his 14-year-old son, Evan, after his partner was killed in the line of duty. He hopes to find a safer life in the small resort town of Wellfleet, and when he meets Bella during a night patrol shift, he realizes he's found the one thing he'd never allowed himself to hope for - or even realized he was missing.

After 14 years of focusing solely on his son, Caden cannot resist the intense attraction he feels toward beautiful Bella, and Bella's powerless to fight the heat of their budding romance. But starting over proves more difficult than either of them imagined, and when Evan gets mixed up with the wrong kids, Cade

Yea! A Sexy cop!

I always enjoy the audio books by Melissa Foster, but this one I enjoyed even a little more. I loved that Caden was a police officer and a single dad, an everyday kind of person, and that Bella was a teacher. I really enjoy it when the characters end up helping each other. Bella helps Caden rediscover that there is more to life than his job and his son. He just might have the ability to love someone else if he'll just open himself up a little more. Caden helps Bella rediscover the feminine side that she's been burying for years. She's kind of quirky (picture a toilet in the driveway of the woman who is a straight laced by the rules property manager). She is also a very sweet, likable character.
Caden's son and his struggles add a lot to the story. He's the proverbial new kid struggling to fit in and has strayed to what may turn out to be the wrong kind of friends in this new town. Caden struggles to balance his responsibility to his son and the blossoming new relationship with Bella. Can he really be a good dad and romance a woman, too?

Caden and Bella

Caden and Bella – Caden is new to the Wellfleet Police department. While patrolling one night, he comes upon a scene so funny he couldn’t help but stop. This is his introduction to Bella, one of the Seaside girls, at the Cape for the summer – or longer! While Caden and his teenage son, Evan, enjoy their new home and getting to know the seaside gang, Bella wrestles with the big question of what does she want to do with her life now. Attraction, love, family – they grow and are demanding. Melissa Foster has built a world where life happens, love happens, and certain people end up in funny or sizzling situations on a somewhat regular basis. A fun read with lots of steam, too.

I read this story a while back, but just listened to the audiobook. I thoroughly enjoyed it! BJ Harrison does a great job as narrator – the characters come alive and the story is so good. There are lots of laugh-out-loud moments with some seriousness thrown in, and a good bit of steam. Totally worth the second telling. Hearing the story from someone else is so different from reading it. I love to read, and yet this story was so good as an audio. Give it a try!

Jamie & Jessica

Oh Jessica and Jamie. I read their story awhile ago and recently listened to the audiobook. As always neither Melissa Foster or B.J. Harrison disappoint.

Jessica Ayers takes a much needed vacation from the world of music, where she is a member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Her cello has been her life for as long as she can remember and she’s always done what’s expected of her. She decides the Cape, the Seaside community is just the place for some serious soul searching. Is she living an inspiring and fulfilling life or merely going through the motions?

Tech giant and billionaire, Jamie Reed is giving himself the summer off and visiting his grandmother Vera who resides at Seaside. He’s friends with all the Seaside summer locals who’ve been coming there as long as he has.

This is a perfect chance to get to see our Seaside friends and experience more of their antics.

Jessica and Jamie’s first meeting is humorous and shows a glimpse into both their personalities when tech savy Jamie gets pinged in the head by Jessica’s airborne cell phone. Frustrated and clueless about technology these two come together.

The attraction is instant and neither is prepared for it. Thong Thursday had me laughing out loud. Leave it to Bella and crew, who willingly add Jessica to their friendship circle. This is a totally new and welcome experience for Jessica.

Of course true love never runs smooth and issues arise, thanks to Jamie’s manipulative friend and convinces him Jessica is a distraction he might not be able to afford. From there things spiral, secrets are revealed, trust is questioned and the couple is at a crossroads.

There’s plenty of laughs, heat, passion and love as these two must choose compromises and forgiveness or walk away for good.

It’s a perfect book to connect with as you get to visit the Seaside community.

good story

This spinoff story and series starter was a great read. Bella and Caden's story was a great story as Bella works through her trust issues as she restarts her life and Caden navigates single parenthood of a teen while dealing with the loss of his former police partner. Both characters were well written and as well as their story that moved along well and did not drag. I look forward to seeing where the stories go with the supporting characters as well. The narration by Mr. Harrison was performed well and enthusiastically making me hooked on the story from the start. I enjoyed this story from the start and would recommend it to others.

Love Caden and Bella ❤️

Love Caden and Bella ❤️
Caden recently moved to the local Police department down the Cape. One night while on patrol he meets Bella, who is at the Cape for the summer while she is working on trying to get a teaching job. Bella and her friends from the cape get to know Caden and his teenage son, Evan.  Bella is still figuring out what she wants to do with her life and if she wants to get involved with a guy as she is starting to fall hard for Caden.  Their relationship is sexy, funny and steamy.  I really enjoyed all the characters in this book and their friendships and the issues they faced.

BJ does a great job with the narration.  Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Charming, Sweet and Steamy Love Story!

Seaside Dreams is a charming, sweet and steamy love story. It is about two people who need a change and find themselves living in the small community around Seaside Cottages.
Bella, who has visited Seaside Cottages every summer, now makes it her home, leaving her job, and her house. She has also sworn off relationships until her life is in order again. Officer Caden Grant is a single father who left Boston to come to Seaside Cottages after the tragic death of his partner. He wants a safer life for himself and his son Evan, who is his pride and joy and his main focus. But the best laid plans are out the window when Bella and Cade meet. The sparks ignite right from the start and they are unable to stick to their plans. This heartfelt, and charming story is filled with witty banter, quirky characters, awkward situations, and fiery chemistry. Narrator, B.J. Harrison brings these characters to life and makes you fall in love with this quaint little community. This is a slow burn, sweet & sexy story that was a lot of fun.

Great Story

Seaside Dreams was a great story. I listened to the audiobook version and narrator B.J. Harrison does a great job bringing the characters to life. I really enjoy listening to his narration. In this story we get to meet Bella Abbascia and Caden Grant. Bella has sworn off men and heads to the Cape to unwind and relax with her childhood friends. Caden moves after his partner and best friend is killed in the pine of duty. Caden has a 14 year old son who was left in his arms from a childhood ex-girlfriend. He thinks moving away to a quiet place is just what the need. Bella and her friends are all about having harmless pranks and one night while Caden is on patrol, he meets Bella in a very interesting moment. Since that moment, their chemistry has been exciting. They are both exactly what they need even though they werent exacting looking for. Caden is an amazing father to a teenager who really tries his patience. Caden is exactly what I picture as a total package and very relatable. Bella is just as down to earth. I really enjoyed listening to their story. Melissa Foster does not disappoint.

Seaside Hijinks

Oh the hijinks. Those seaside girls, especially Bella, are up to no good. Then along comes Officer Caden. His need to follow the law and her need to have fun don't always agree, but they manage to make it work. Bella seems to relate to his son. His need to fit in being the new kid in town, yet knowing that what the others are doing is wrong is a quandry that he needs to figure out. Bella recognizes that something is bothering him. He seems a little more open with her than with his father. And when the worst happens and puts him in a bad position, Caden decides it's time to focus more on him instead of Bella. Yet it doesn't seem to help matters. Will these two figure things out and become a happy family, or will they go their separate ways?

BJ Harrison has become a standard listen for me. His voice is smooth and he manages such a variety of emotions well.

Great Story! Great Narration!

Seaside Dreams by Melissa Foster is absolutely wonderful. I loved how the author wrote charming characters with incredible imagery, great humor, and a sweet and steamy love story. The commitment issues were very realistic. I loved how Bella had such wonderful girlfriends that had understanding and no hesitation. Getting one's priorities was a message I took away from this book. Caden and his son Evan also had issues and baggage they brought to this seaside community. They immediately tugged at my heart. BJ Harrison did an amazing performance. He brings the characters to life. One could feel the chemistry between Bella and Caden from the beginning. I was laughing out loud at their initial meeting. Well done to both the author and narrator. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

Love, Laughter and Friendship

For three months, Bella and her friends stay at their families’ summer homes on the Cape. When the summer is over, Bella does not return to her previous life in the city and makes Wellfleet her permanent home. An unfortunate incident brings Bella face to face with Cade, the new sheriff in Wellfleet.

Cade and his son Evan moved to the Cape after Cade’s partner was killed. While out on patrol, he finds Bella in her undies with her hair caught in her friend’s window. Their attraction is immediate but neither are at a place in their lives to explore it further. Evan is Cade’s number one priority and doesn’t have time for a relationship. After a bad relationship, Bella just wants to create a new life for herself on the Cape.

This is a steamy romance, with lots of laughter. The friendship between Bella and her friends makes this more than a love story.
