Publisher's Summary

June and Day arrive in Vegas just as the unthinkable happens: The Elector Primo dies, and his son, Anden, takes his place. With the Republic edging closer to chaos, the two join a group of Patriot rebels eager to help Day rescue his brother and offer passage to the Colonies. They have only one request: June and Day must assassinate the new Elector. It’s their chance to change the nation, to give voice to a people silenced for too long.

But as June realizes this Elector is nothing like his father, she’s haunted by the choice ahead. What if Anden is a new beginning? What if revolution must be more than loss and vengeance, anger, and blood - what if the Patriots are wrong?

In this highly-anticipated sequel, Lu delivers a breathtaking thriller with high stakes and cinematic action.

Breathless

Would you consider the audio edition of Prodigy to be better than the print version?

Hard to say.

What did you like best about this story?

It's so emotional. Legend was a great book but Prodigy was just incredible. So moving and breath taking.

What does Steven Kaplan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He makes you love Day even more.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It was very hard not to. The story line was addicting, always twisting and turning and just amazing.

Any additional comments?

I am not sure why audible released before Amazon but I am so glad they did. This book was amazing. It broke my heart worse than almost any other book ever has.

Action, Suspense, Romance....AWESOME!

Marie Lu has done an OUTSTANDING job with this second installment to "Legend". The action kept the story pace going while the suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. And, of course, I'm a sucker for some romance. Narration was a little slow at the begining but picked up quickly and the performance was done very well. Good job Mariel Stern and Steven Kaplan!

Day and June have escaped Batalla Hall and are on their way to find the Patriots for help. Both have been broken and torn apart by the loss of both their families. All that is left is Day's younger brother, Eden, who has been taken by the Republic because he has and carries the new strand of the plague. Can Day and June's feelings for each other withstand a fight to find a brother, a crumbling government and a strained relationship between two people from two very different worlds? Sometimes, things aren't always what they seem be.

Awesome book/audiobook! I definitely recommend it!

Day and June...like Romeo and Juliet but better

The characters came alive as I listened to this book. Day and June are vivid characters that came alive in the depths of my imaginatiion. I loved the fast paced story line that was filled with emotion and fast paced heart thumping action. Day and June have joined the Patriots against the Republic in a goal to assasinate the Elector (leader of the Republic). At first both Day and June agree to the plan but soon both find out that not all is as it seems. Who can be trusted?
The book keeps you asking questions and gives satisfactory answers. I can't say enough how much I loved this book!

Too Much Romance -Cool Action

I prefer my Dystopian, USA self destroyed worlds to have a little less romance and a little more twist and turns. I can only start to predict what the Elector has in mind or what will happen to our main characters.

Impressive

I didn't know what exactly to expect from Prodigy after reading Legend but this book really did surprised me by all means. I didn't have really high hopes for this series as Legend, despite being very tension-filled and engaging, had a rather mundane, clichè and predictable plot line. This book really changed my mind about this whole series as it is the perfect sequel to its first book. I see lots of character development and I root for all characters which is a huge success for Marie Lu herself. I am truly impressed.
