Publisher's Summary

The zombies have escaped Zombie Park!

The plague has brought the dead to life and their hunger for the living is insatiable. The Zombie Park has been overrun and the dead have been unleashed upon the city causing horrific deaths in their path. The spread of the plague seems to be unstoppable this time as it ravages the population. There is no warning of the breach and the public is left to fend for themselves grabbing any weapon they have on hand to fight the undead.

How was the park overrun? Who let the zombies out of their enclosures? Will the military drop a nuclear bomb on Valparaiso, Indiana, in order to keep the zombie plague from spreading any further and is there any way to survive once you're trapped in the middle of the starving corpses? Can they be stopped?

"Don't make the same mistakes as John Hammon!!!"

Day of the Zombies was great. The story was cooky and quirky enough to take you on a very fun ride. The vast array of zombie animals was enough alone to keep listening. The story was huge and had a lot of characters without loosing track of where it was going. The dialogue was serious/funny and i think some of it was done as a wink wink to the audience. at one point, a character says, "we watched all the Jurassic Park movies and took notes so we don't make the same mistakes" (paraphrased, not sure if that is word for word). Definitely worth the price of admission. Looking forward to part 3.

The narrator, Persephone Rose, did a fine job. I have listened to several other books that he has narrated and this was not his best. That being said, he was still fun to listen to and he keeps you in the action. i would still listen to books narrated by him.

I received a free copy of this audiobook and have left a voluntary review.

"Second book in a campy but fun zombie series"

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

As with the first book in this series, this book doesn't take itself too seriously. It is a sarcastic, over the top, zombie apocalypse series. Persephone Rose's narration only serves to play to the deliberate "campyness". If you take it for what it is intended to be, it is funny and entertaining. You should start with the first book, though, or you won't know what the heck is going on, or get all the jokes.

    "Zombies Park - Escaped! "

I enjoyed this book so much. I liked the first one in the series ever so slightly more because of the anticipation of how badly this bad idea was going to go. In this book, part 2, the zombies have been created, perfected and let loose. This part is more about escaping the flesh eaters, survival and the reaction of the US military. This tale includes subterfuge, coverups, murder, former human flesh eating machines, some brief sparks of romance and much more. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys an undead story with a dose of humor!

    "A big disappointment"

I was really disappointed in the book. The storyline seem to be written for a child. The way the characters spoke seemed forced and stilted. The reader's voice for certain female characters were down right annoying. I could not finish the book because of the narration.
I was given this book in exchange for a honest review.

"Second book in series on zombies"

This second book in the series was better written than the first. I did enjoy this story more so than the previous book. Still very much like a B flick on Syfy or Chiller. The narrator's character voices needs work. Some voices are cringeworthy. I received this for free for an honest review.

    "okay"

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. While this book kind of felt disjointed, I did like it. Sometimes it was shocking, but so is life. I did prefer the narrators normal voice verses some of the characters though.

"Should have read the first one first."

I received this audiobook for free from the author / narrator / publisher in exchange for an unbiased review.

This is the second book of the series and doesn't quite work as a standalone book. To get a better understanding of what's happening, you need to read the first book first, which I didn't get to do. I got this second book and listened to it and was all sorts of lost.

In this story, action of the people in the city, fighting the zombies, sounded unbelievable. If I put myself in their situation, I wouldn't do what they were doing. Thus, listening to it requires to suspend disbelieve. You would say "it's zombie story, duh". Even then, I like fantasy / horror stories with as much resemblance to reality as possible.

There weren't any memorable characters in the story either. So, I didn't get a protagonist to root for.

The narration itself was alright though.

"Book 2 of the zombie apocalypse zoo escape"

Great tongue in cheek (haha) zombie story. This is the 2nd book taking place shortly after the zombies were let loose/escaped from the zombie zoo. Smart zombies, zombie animals, activists, and more. A well written tale that has been well narrated. Highly recommend the series for anyone who likes zombies, Jurassic park movies etc. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

    "The zombies are loose!"

The Zombie Park idea didn’t turn out so well. The zombies, undead humans and undead animals alike are on the run, leaving a trail of death and destruction everywhere they go. The PETZ organization (People for the Ethical Treatment of Zombies), have done their work well by unleashing havoc on the city of Valparaiso. How this is going to turn out is anyone’s guess. Will the authorities or the Army be able to stop the spread of infection as the zombies continue to feed and kill? Will the Army’s real plans for the park come to light? Stay tuned to find out. "Action Packed!"

The zombie apocalypse is here and this town and running wild as the occupants work to get out of town without being eaten. There's always a zombie around the corner, behind the door and their backs. And not only human zombies but animals.

The town harbors a zombie park. When they get out, everything goes wild. The action alone kept me on the edge. The story includes several characters and jumped quite a bit from one group to the next. At first that was a bit confusing and I didn't feel as much connection with the characters as I like but there;s enough gore and action I enjoyed it.

I loved the opening with all the zombie growling but wasn't so much fond of all the voices. The female's didn't sound female and there were so many characters it was hard to tell them apart by voice alone.

It's a solid story, gory, and suspenseful!

I received this book free for my honest review.
